Solid performance for stock speeds

Intel Core i5-3570K - Core i5 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Intel HD Graphics 4000 Desktop Processor - BX80637I53570K

Pros: Gotten several of these processors. All them perform very well running stock speeds. I have been able to run every video game I want without any issues.

Cons: none

Picture not fantastic, little dark

ASUS VH236H Black 23" Full HD Widescreen LCD Monitor w/ Speakers 300 cd/m2 20000 :1 (ASCR)
ASUS VH236H Black 23" Full HD Widescreen LCD Monitor w/ Speakers 300 cd/m2 20000 :1 (ASCR)

Pros: Inexpensive monitor compared to competitors

Cons: The picture was darker than I had hoped. I end up having to crank of the brightness for most things. Also speakers are so-so.

Love this card, but has two glitches

GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 670 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card GV-N670OC-2GD
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 670 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card GV-N670OC-2GD

Pros: Card allows me to play virtually any game I want on high detail and still get >30 fps. I have played Guild Wars 2 and Borderland 2 to death on this card and have been very satisfied.

Cons: It seems to have two glitches that reoccur no matter what I do. 1) On a reboot graphics will come up with images oddly colored (littled off color edgies). A reboot or two usually solves problem. 2) Sometimes when the screen goes to sleep the card seems to forget that it is supplying video and video slips back to onboard video only. (I am using the lucid virtu mvp) For further note: I am using all Gigabyte parts (motherboard and video card). GA-Z77X-D3H motherboard. All drivers/bios/etc... are up to date. This problem does not happen with same motherboard and Gigabyte Radeon cards. Both problems are specific to this card.

Overall Review: Love this card and would give it a 5 out of 5 if it didn't have persistent and nagging glitches listed.

Good, but cables not quite helpful enough

Pros: Quiet and efficient. The modular cable design is a nice to have.

Cons: While the modularity of the cables is nice. The cables are not quite long enough for most of my file server cases. It seems like I can't end up using a lot of the plugs because the don't read my drives.

Overall Review: Over all the power supply is great, just wish the cables were a little longer.

Robust, but keep the bios up to date

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Robust motherboard. No problems after more than a year of hard use on multiple systems.

Cons: Windows users: Be careful to keep bios up to date before accepting patches from Microsoft. Had three computers and 2 of the 3 never booted after accepting service pack from Microsoft. Problem was later tied to having a bios that was slightly out of date. A lot of time was lost. So make sure you keep your bios up to date when those automatic patches land on your system.

Quieter than I had imagined

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler, 4 CDC Heatpipes, 120mm PWM Fan, Aluminum Fins for AMD Ryzen/Intel LGA1200/1151

Pros: I was a little skeptical about how quiet this cooler is, but it exceeded expectations. With my system open and running full blast the cooler was very difficult to hear. I almost had to risk hitting my ear against the fan in order to hear anything. Cooling performance was more than sufficient for running at stock speeds.

Cons: I have found no cons after more than a year of use.
