Pros: I think this family of processors is the answer to low cost PC building. I have just built 3 systems. Different CPU's and MB. All three work great. No Video card required for good video performance. Very Pleased!!

Pros: This review relates to Windows 8.0 and 8.1 \ Low Cost - That is all! I have several of these and they are a real bear to get installed. They cause BSOD if the wrong driver - even the recommended driver, is installed. Once you get the right driver, it does work, but the performance is not what I expected. Range is not very good. I did get it to work with both 8.0 and 8.1, but it was a real pain. Way too much work!

Cons: I purchased several of these to use with Windows 8 and have had a lot of trouble getting them to work. They cause BSOD and the drivers they recommend do not work. They say to install the 8.1 driver before putting the card in, but when you launch the driver utility, it says the card has to be in to load the driver?????? Don't they ever try this stuff? The only driver I could get to work with 8.1 is the Ranlink Technology 5.0.5.0 dated 9/21/2012 - Anything else would cause BSOD At this point, these should be plug and play and not require so much effort to get installed. I can not tell you how disappointing this was. To date - the RNX-N250UBE has been one of the better adapters I have used. I get exceptional speeds with it and the ease of use is like it should be - Plug and Play!

Overall Review: I wrote this because they sent out an email bragging about this being one of the better adapters. It just bothers me to see them recommending this card. I can not imagine someone with less knowledge than I have trying to get this adapter to work. They would pull their hair out. Lastly, what the heck is this putting the 8.1 driver out in a .7z compressed format. You will have to install a utility to extract it too. So another pain in the ...... ! If they would make all their downloads compatible with the Windows Extraction Utility, it would make life a lot easier. But it doesn't really matter because the 8.1 driver does not work anyway. (rnx-n600pce.7z \ V1.0.0 \ 07/23/2014) is no good.

Pros: I have used this is several different computers and it has worked perfectly in every one of them. It works with Windows default drivers - You don't need to load anything. Just Plug and Play. I have run it with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 with no problems I see a few posts with a reference to having problems with the supplied drivers. My recommendation is to just use the Windows default drivers and it should work fine.

Overall Review: It would be very helpful if Newegg would make the OS a searchable item on the Wireless cards. I can't believe I did this twice, but here I am again with 5 cards that won't work for me. And loosing 10% returning them. At a minimum - remove the restocking fee for this item!! They are all sealed and unopened. I realize it's my own fault, but it is very time consuming to sift through all the cards looking for ones that are Windows 8 compatible. Help us out Newegg!!! There are lots of people that have gotten burned on this one!!

Update - I had previously left a pretty harsh post for a item I had a problem with. Since then, they refunded the full purchase price. Told me to just keep the item and they were very understanding. So in hind site, I would say they are pretty stand up folks to buy from. Thanks for taking my problems seriously!

Ordered some Brother Ink and it came quickly. Only suggesting would be it was a little tattered looking when it arrived. Boxing it rather than putting in a soft package would have been better. Thanks, I'll be purchasing again.
