Is it a motherboard problem?
Pros: Seems to work okay.
Cons: I bought this as part of a kit from NewEgg. It came with one 8gb ram stick. After installation, it bluescreened sometimes twice a day for no apparent reason. I replaced the one 8gb ram stick with two 4gb ram sticks and haven't experienced any more problems. Anyone know why this happened?
Big Mistake
Pros: Worked well in the short time that it did work.
Cons: Big waste of money for a bad product. NewEgg says it's ineligible for return, but I wouldn't return it anyway, because it has sensitive information on it. I should kick myself for buying two Seagate backup drives. The first one was a 2 TB model that failed after being dropped less than a foot. So I learned to treat them very gently. This drive couldn't have been handled more gently, but it still failed. It doesn't spin up and the light doesn't come on. I had it less than two months, and used it no more than ten times. Don't buy this drive.
I wouldn't buy this one
Pros: None.
Cons: Wireless connection flaky. Sometimes will connect, sometimes will not. I finally had to give up and set it up as a network printer. Tired of going through the install procedure every time I wanted to connect. Way too much software downloaded for a simple printer driver. It's nice to have all the software available, but the overhead isn't worth it. Maybe uses less power than my four-year-old cheapie HP printer, but very slow waking up from sleep.
