ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero Z270 LGA1151 DDR4 DP HDMI M.2 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard

Pros: I'm barely on my second day with this but so far it has been nothing but good. Installation was a breeze, bios updating/navigation is smooth. Just simple all around and does it's job. Never ran into a problem while setting up, actually the only thing that gave me a problem was my new Corsair case, but that was a fan issue. I don't care for RGB lighting, this whole RGB thing has gotten out of hand...but the RGB on the Maximus IX's pretty cool. I dig it 10/10. and it has 2 RGB headers for any of you wanting to put some more fancy lights in your rig. and another 10/10 for debug LED. I take one thing back, I did run into an issue but it wasn't a big deal. When I turned it on I got an error code and the handy owners manual told me something was up by saying there was no ram installed but there was. An easy reseat fixed everything and was ready to go. Also plenty of USB ports, like PLENTY. I'm only using half!

Cons: -Stickers for days
-more stickers

Other Thoughts: This mobo is really good but for sure you can find something cheaper that'll offer you what you're looking for and may offer some more. Even some of the cheaper boards out there have more fancy lights on em. I went with this board because of the features, this is where the extra money you're paying goes to. Sure I may not use everything this board has to offer but I have learned that options are always good. Trust me, having to say "man I should have gone with that instead" later sucks. Even if I don't use everything at least I have options.

Corsair Vengeance MM600 (CH-9000017-WW) Gaming Mouse Mat

5 out of 5 eggs Best Gaming Mouse Mat I have purchased 03/06/2014

This review is from: Corsair Vengeance MM600 (CH-9000017-WW) Gaming Mouse Mat

Pros: -This mat is really big, you won't run out of room.
-The double sided feature is great, I use both depending what I'm playing, but mainly the heavy textured side.
-I used to game on a SubZero mouse mat for a long time, and though it is still a good mouse pad, it is not as big as the MM600, and this is exacly what I needed on my new desk, just make sure you have enough room for it.
-It's made out of metal
-The rubber edges are excellent, 3 weeks in, and it has not moved at all.

Cons: -The price! Though it might be expensive, you do get your moneys worth. I absolutely do not feel cheated out of this purchase.
-Not a con for me but maybe to others, but this thing is pretty huge. Just make sure you have enough room on your desk for it.

Other Thoughts: So far it's been 3 weeks into owning it, and I can truly say that I am extremely happy with it. I play using different types of mouse grips for different games, and this mat has not given me any problems as far as control goes. I also use a Logitech G600, it is a really heavy mouse, and on the MM600, it glides nicely and smoothly.

EVGA 03G-P4-2883-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card
  • neweggOwned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Remember when Skeletor got the powers of the universe in the Masters of the Universe movie and had that epic gold armor? That is what will happen to your rig when you install this thing in it! I upgraded from a GTX 680 Classified, and whoa! Just whoa! Fast, powerful, epic! It runs all my games on ultra with no problems at 1080p. Now I'm just waiting for G-Sync so I can use this 780 Ti and open doorways to other dimensions with it. I still have not played Battlefield 4 with this yet, but I did play a lot of Bioshock Infinite and Shadow Warrior (2013 of course lol), and it handles those games like it was nothing. Overall I am mega happy with this. I can not wait for the next more powerful GPU to come out so that way hopefully this thing will get a price drop so I can buy another for SLI. It is an expensive card, yes, but it is worth it. The folks at NVIDIA must be warlocks, because thins thing makes magic happen!

Cons: It doesn't really give your rig golden armor...

Other Thoughts: If you're a gamer and want the very best performance out of a single GPU, then you want this. It may be pricey, but worth it. There are some other nice GPU's out there for shoppers with a budget, but c'mon, if you're reading reviews on the GTX 780 Ti, then that means you want it. Buy it! You may also want to look into buying a backplate for this. It is really heavy and can get pretty warm, so the backplate will help it out in those areas. If you can not find a 780 Ti backplate, the 780 backplate will fit it perfectly.
