z87 intel motherboards

ASUS Z87-DELUXE/DUAL LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS Z87-DELUXE/DUAL LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Looks good - can't wait to get a revised board. Asus responded quickly with an answer to my question.

Cons: After recieving the board, I checked with asus support to see if the serial # indicated that the board was produced after the Intel usb3.0 stepping correction. Unfortunately it isn't. PCN112101-01 pdf is about the change and applies to all m-boards using this chip. Now I am going to have to return it, if it cannot be RMA'd and wait until I know that I can a purchase a motherboard with the updated revisions. Hopefully, newegg will post the revision on site when it is available.

rosewill mouse review

Rosewill Reflex RGM-1000 Laser Gaming Mouse
Rosewill Reflex RGM-1000 Laser Gaming Mouse

Pros: fits the hand

Cons: software spans across both screens when opened on dual screen setup. Button actions have very noticeable delays before engaging, especially when handing off same command from keyboard. Very poor MMO mouse.

Overall Review: Sometimes you can press a mouse key & it will not even function. Takes several attempts before mouse input transfers to game. Has been the cause of very poor damage ratings and multiple deaths in game. Could say that the software was written by a 3rd grader but that would be very unfair to 3rd graders. All settings have been double checked to confirm that nothing else could be done to improve conditions.

Razer OVER-HYPED!

RAZER Naga Hex Wired USB Gaming Mouse - Green
RAZER Naga Hex Wired USB Gaming Mouse - Green

Pros: Buttons

Cons: REALLY POOR SUPPORT!! No cross ship options for defective merchandise. Minimum 10 day turn-around. Have to create account for software/drivers. Poor driver support. Very difficult to find company contacts on website. Very cumbersome support process. Can't adjust weight. Poor quality materials/workmanship. Mouse to small for average male hand.

Overall Review: Almost had this for 1 year & right mouse button started getting more difficult to control/use for the last 3 months. Finally decided to open an RMA and it's turned into a nightmare. I finally found the support number for razer (NOT ON THEIR SITE!) and called to see if I could set up a cross ship to eleviate down time since I game in my spare time. NOT POSSIBLE. Have now looked up reviews almost a year after purchase and the company is getting ALOT of negative feedback.

garbage in - garbage out

Windows 8.1 Pro - 64-bit
Windows 8.1 Pro - 64-bit

Pros: Sure to be a catalyst to move home users to other operating systems and eventually be the demise of microsoft operating systems in the enterprise environment.

Cons: no stand alone or off-line upgrade from 8 to 8.1. "0" microsoft support. waste of high-end hardware. complete failure of microsoft validation of individual enduser and independent support

Overall Review: I can certainly understand why Steve Ballmer is stepping down as CEO of microsoft. I just hope that whoever takes over the position can regain the non-corporate ender-user's trust before enterprises realize that new hires don't know how to use microsoft products because they were so blatantly discarded as useless peons by the "holier than thou" microsoft corporate hierarchy. There is a need for desktops, there is a need for tablets, there is a need for mobile devices - this product is not only a desktop disaster, it alienates the individual user. Good luck to you if you upgrade from windows 7 or earlier.

seagate st***fp0021 failure

Seagate 600 Pro 2.5" SATA III MLC Internal / External Solid State Drive (SSD) ST240FP0021
Seagate 600 Pro 2.5" SATA III MLC Internal / External Solid State Drive (SSD) ST240FP0021

Pros: Some reviews highly recommended the 600 pro line

Cons: installed to Asus Deluxe/Dual with bios 1305, system only recognized ssd intermitently. Windows 8 would boot intermitently, even if bios recognized ssd.

Overall Review: RMA'd drive back to Newegg, still waiting for their results. Installed Samgsung 840 Pro, no problems with that drive. Asked Seagate if I should have used ST***FP0001 instead of FP0021 & their reply was: The Pro SSD is designed more for server storage and cloud usage. Using this drive on a regular PC, although can be done, does present problems. Windows OS Systems do perform regular system maintenance which will drastically affect the life of an SSD. The drives are only designed to maintain a certain amount of write/rewrite before the drive begins to fail. Also, performing disk scans and disk defragments on SSD Drives will cause permanent drive damage. With this in mind, I would recommend using one of our Solid State Hybrid Drives. You will get the same performance as an SSD Drive, but still maintain the ability to handle Windows OS Systems. I hope this helps. Appears to me that Seagate has no faith in my knowledge of Windows & no faith in their drive for use as a C:\ drive...
