Most Favorable Review

To the "one bad reviewer"

HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model KHX1866C9D3K2/8G
HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model KHX1866C9D3K2/8G

Pros: First.. most motherboard by default will "NOT" set the memory speed to 1866 speeds, even if it is the default speed of the motherboard, very few do that. The majority of AMD AM2/AM3 (and some AM3+) motherboards set the speeds by default to "DDR3 1333" speeds. My "Asus Sabertooth 990FX" did the samething, you have to go any "manually change it" in the BIOS, and the "memory standards" for my mobo are 1866/1600/1333/1066, yet it still defaulted my ddr3 1600 to 1333, I had to manually select ddr3 1600. I believe alot of Intel mobo's do the samething, depending on the memory speed.

Cons: Dunno, do not own it, just commenting on the bad reviewer.

Overall Review: Think before you POST people! I see alot of people giving bad reviews on hardware, and it is not the hardware that is the problem, it's the reviewer not knowing what to do or how to properly configure stuff. I am not saying that this guy did for sure, but that is what it sounds like to me!

OCZ RevoDrive PCI-Express x4 80GB PCI Express MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSDPX-1RVD0080
OCZ RevoDrive PCI-Express x4 80GB PCI Express MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSDPX-1RVD0080

Pros: Well, that depends. You people realize it's so fast because it's RAID 0, you can just purchase two Intel 40gb SSD's and RAID them and get the same "read speeds", the write speeds will be slower, but PC's read more than they write. So, before you get to excited, just pick out two good Sata interface SSD's and RAID them and get the same results. Get some A-Data or Corsair 40gb SSD's and raid them and yield identical speeds and probably a more reliable drive.

Cons: If one drive on this Revo drive dies, that's it.. SSD card is dead. Open and exposed SSD memory makes it more likely to get static shocks, thus killing it. Atleast with two Sata SSD drive in RAID 0, if one dies, you still have one drive to work with. The idea of a PCi-E SSD drive is nice, but the only ones really stable are the "X2" series and the cost twice as much.

Overall Review: I see alot of compliants about these, whether it's DOA or incompatibilities. People just see the "read/write" speeds and go "oh wow, I want that", not realizing it's RAID yielding those speeds and two Sata SSD's would give the same results. I have two 120gb Intel X25-M SSD drives in RAID 0, my read speeds are 522 mb/sec, and write speeds of 218 mb/sec. Yeah, my writes are slower, but it's the READ speeds that you experience the most, and you can get two A-Data/Corsair/Crucial, etc.. with 260 mb/sec writes, raid them and get the same speeds as this REVO drive! I choose Intel's because they are less problematic and got great reviews. I do not "own" one of these, just did research on them and see the complaints. After doing some research, two Sata type SSD's sound much better and are just as fast.

awesome cooler

LOGISYS Computer VC6006 Dracula VGA Cooler
LOGISYS Computer VC6006 Dracula VGA Cooler

Pros: Nice cooler, quality craftsmanship, and cools extremely well. Reduced temps on my GTX 570 by 14ºC @ idle and by 9ºC under load, so I am happy.

Cons: Unfortunately, there are two cons, but they are not anything to do with it's performance as a cooler. The first, for the price, it should come with the fans. The second con is the mounting procedure and mounting space required. I know they set it up this was to try and save space from PCi-E slot to PCi-E slot, but I still don't like how the fans must be mounted and regardless, it does still take up some space. If your PCi-E slots are close together, you more than likely will only be able to use "one" of these, depending on your tower. I have two PC's, my towers are the Antec NineHundred Two & Antec TwelveHundred Two, my motherboard's are the Asus Sabertooth 990FX and Asus M5A99X Evo, this cooler works well with both boards because of the multiple PCi-E slots and tri/quad SLi (and Xfire) support, but only in my Antec TwelveHundred Two case. Other than that, it's awsome. Just make sure you have the required space before you get it. It does cool very well.

Overall Review: I ended up attaching (3) Antec variable speed 80mm fans directly to the cooler instead of using the recommended 120mm fans on the included bracket, mainly because the bracket blocked access to my PCi and PCi-E x4 slots. I find it cools better this way too.

Crucial Adrenaline CT050M4SSC2BDA 50GB Solid State Cache for Windows 7-based PCs
Crucial Adrenaline CT050M4SSC2BDA 50GB Solid State Cache for Windows 7-based PCs

Pros: The "Crucial Adrenaline" does exactly as advertised and works perfectly. I see just a "few bad reviews" (3 as of my review). All I can say is... "READ SPECS/REQUIREMENTS BEFORE YOU BUY SOMETHING"! It speeds up old mechanical drive access times, loads times (of Windows and Apps), etc. Takes a couple of runs to get to FULL performance. Teamed it up with an "old" 76gb WD Raptor (Sata-I / 150), now this old Raptor rocks. All my other systems have Intel SSD 520 series, which are fast, it does'nt get your old mechanical drive that fast, but it falls inbetween the speeds of an old mechanical drive and new SSD drive, which is good!

Cons: I always read personal reviews b4 making a purchase decision, as it is helpful it determining the hardwares reliability & performance. However, lately alot of people are putting in "bad reviews" and giving the product a bad reputation, when it does'nt deserve one. So many people do not follow the sys. requirements and/or follow instructions, the product does'nt work correctly then, and they turn around and blame it on the product. First, if you have "WinXP", the "Adrenaline" does'nt like XP and will more than likely cause issues.

Overall Review: Not sure what issues the reviewers that had bad experiences with the Adrenaline are doing wrong, maybe they just got faulty drives, maybe they are running Windows XP, maybe they are doing something else wrong. All I know is.. it works great for me and 87% of the other reviewers that bought it. 87% good reviews = good product. To many people rush into purchasing something without making sure they meet the requirements, read about what it conflicts with, or don't stop and think, maybe I just got a faulty device.

Nice improvement compared to GTX 465

EVGA GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 012-P3-1570-AR
EVGA GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 012-P3-1570-AR

Pros: Purchased it for $309.00 w/ free shipping, had a unlocked GTX 465 that was quite fast, but when I upgraded to a 23" Samsung LED monitor and started playing high quality DirectX 11 games, my GTX 465 had a 32% drop in frame rates. This GTX 570 put my FPS back up. Card also runs about 10 degrees cooler than my GTX 465. So far it plays everything I've thrown @ it in high quality.

Cons: None so far. Great card, may use eVGA's trade up program in a month or so to go towards a GTX 680.

Overall Review: Well worth the money and should play just about every game out there without any issues. If you want something almost as good, but want to save about $60.00, get a GTX 560 Ti (448), they are right on the heels of this card. Only reason I did not get one of them, the one I wanted was out of stock.

Intel 520 SSD - awesome!

Intel 520 Series Cherryville 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSC2CW120A3K5
Intel 520 Series Cherryville 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSC2CW120A3K5

Pros: Very fast and stable SSD drive. Get's advertised speeds for me. On Atto DiskBench >> Read @ 545 mb/sec, write @ 501 mb/sec. Practically double the speeds of my Intel 320 series.

Cons: Intel support, if you need it, or just have general tech question, is simply horrible. Of the (5) emails sent to Intel support, only one has ever been replied to.

Overall Review: To me, the Intel and Samsung SSD drives are the most trouble free and offer great speeds and stability. Only other wish would be "cheaper prices". They have been out long enough to where they should sell cheaper. $200.00 for 120gb is still alot, but the speed differences compared to normal drives is worth the capacity sacrifice. I would recommend getting the 180gb or 240gb now though, as they've dropped about $50.00 lower in price compared to when they first launched.
