Great bang for the buck

DIAMOND Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card A4890PE51G
DIAMOND Radeon HD 4890 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Graphics Card A4890PE51G

Pros: - Great performance, even in late 2011/early 2012, if running in Crossfire. - Affordable option if you can get the right deal. - If you're only running 1680x1050 or 1920x1080, it should be able to run the games you want it to without much hassle.

Cons: - Fans are garbage. Was there any QC on these? - A little long in the tooth for technology. - No accessories included.

Overall Review: Got two of these on an open box buy (both showed up factory sealed though, so that works) and, as expected, the fans are garbage. One is visibly out of round and grinds against the plastic case. The other fan works fine but you can tell the bearings aren't super smooth in it as well. I anticipated this and my Arctic Cooling S1 Rev2's are showing up today with some Scythe fans to help cool the cards better and quiet things down. Even with the stock cooler though, FurMark topped out at 80C for a single card. Other things to consider: nothing but the card is included. No Crossfire bridge, no HDMI adapter included (HIS sells one of the special ATI ones to output sound through DVI), and no driver/software cd. Overall, a whole lot of bang for the buck if you are prepared to deal with the shortcomings. If I didn't get them so cheap though, I would have likely waited for the 79xx cards to come out and bought a 7970 or 6970 at a discount.
