Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) - Incoming AC power is electronically regulated for dips and spikes AVR takes this irregular AC power and converts it into a consistent Sinewave so sensitive electronic equipment can achieve its optimal performance. EMI/RFI - Provides shielding against electromagnetic interference & radio frequency signals. Most commonly, this is used to prevent line noise or “humming” that occurs over telephone lines or stereo electronics. USB Connectivity - HID compliant USB port enables full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. PowerPanel Plus ™ Power Management Software – In the event of a power outage, PowerPanel Plus will safely save and close your open files and shut your computer down in an orderly, intelligent manner. The software allows users to view detailed information about their electrical power and the vitals of the UPS. It includes configurable system notifications, automatic self tests, adjustable high/low voltage warnings, event/data logging, and scheduled shutdowns. RM/T Configuration – The PR series can be mounted either in Tower or Rackmount (2U) form. Metal Housing – Rigid metal construction allows for placement in areas with a demanding environment. LED Indicators - LED status lights indicate Power-On and wiring faults. Audible Alarms - Audible tones identify when the unit is running off battery power, unit overloads and low battery. Resettable Circuit Breaker - Convenient unit reset switch in case of an overload. 3-year Warranty - CyberPower will replace damaged units if within 3 years of purchase date. We stand behind our products and guarantee quality. CyberPower also offers a #1 rated technical support team that will assist you with product, installation, or warranty concerns --- Free of Charge!

Pros: VERY aggressively priced, and surprisingly good quality for the price level. 4 batteries, lots of power.
Cons: Heat considerations
Overall Review: I have over a dozen of these in a rack, and they do a marvelous job. They have four batteries, and the batteries are replaceable without unmounting the UPS. If they are mounted right on top of each other, they get VERY warm, which isn't good for your batteries. (The fan only runs when actually inverting, not during standby) With a small gap between them, they stay at a much more reasonable temperature.
Comments: Having used more expensive UPS to power my 6 servers (2 dual xeon, 4 p4 servers) at work was adding up. The batteries cost more than this unit by themselves.
I finally bit the bullet and ordered two of thise. Originally I was going to only power one server with each UPS, however I quickly found out that I can power all six servers with just these two battery backups with more than 15 minutes to safely shutdown the case of a power outage.
I love this product!
Pros: This is a very nice product i was having problems with the electricity in my building and kept blowing power supplies. bought this product and have not had any kind of problem at all. its nice when you are on the internet and mention the power went out and you can keep chatting.
Cons: someone else mentioned that it is very heavy and they are right but that is bout the only bad thing i can think of
Overall Review: mine has lasted for aprox. 2 hours with a monitor and comp. plugged into it and some logitech speakers and sub for some music once when the power went out is deff worth the money if you have those same kinda problems
Overall Review: Has been running dutifully since spring 2009.
The fans started coming on even when the unit was on line power indicating the batteries were starting to go.
After replacing the batteries the unit is quiet again.
Pros: The product is good and solid, and does the job.
Cons: The packing is bad. The product is heavy about 70lb. The carton box should be much stronger than it is. The product can be damaged during shipment.
Manufacturer Response:
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback regarding the CyberPower CPS1500AVR. We are very pleased that you took the time to provide an assessment and your experience. Based on the experience described, this appears to be a unique issue involving this specific model being shipped only in its retail box without an additional brown cardboard shipping box. The retail boxes that CyberPower provides to its partners are not designed to be used alone as a shipping box. With millions of UPS units sold annually, CyberPower is constantly working with its partners to ensure customers like yourself are satisfied and we will continue to do so in this case. We recommend that the partner you ordered the UPS from be contacted immediately to address any issues arising from shipping.
Pros: Solid, reliable, long life. Bought 2, one for server, one for 25 extension phone system, router, bridges and internet device. Both have maintained power for as long as 1.5 hours.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Ignore posters about rack-mounting issues. It is well engineered and rock-solid mounted in our rack.
Pros: These do exactly what they should, and work well. Batteries replaceable without taking the unit out of a rack.
Cons: Fit and finish not always the best
Overall Review: For the price, these are terrific. I have almost twenty of these, and have not been let down in outtages, voltage dips, or monthly testing.
Pros: VERY aggressively priced, and surprisingly good quality for the price level. 4 batteries, lots of power.
Cons: Heat considerations
