Experience the robust protection and reliable power supply of the CyberPower SL700U Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system. Designed to safeguard your valuable electronics, this high-performance UPS provides superior surge protection against lightning-induced surges and other power disruptions. The SL700U is more than just a backup power supply. It delivers a substantial battery backup, ensuring your connected devices remain operational during a utility power failure. This feature allows for a graceful shutdown, protecting against data loss and damage to crucial electronics such as computers, gaming consoles, and home networking equipment. Equipped with two Type A USB charging ports with a shared total output of 2.4A, the SL700U offers rapid charging capabilities.
This means you can power up your USB devices such as tablets, smartphones, and MP3 players faster, even while on battery backup power. The slim profile of the SL700U, coupled with its full-motion power cord, allows for discrete installation and flexibility in placement. The keyhole mounting slots further enhance its versatility, making it suitable for wall-mount applications. The SL700U also features widely spaced outlets, accommodating large transformer-based plugs without compromising the access of other outlets. As an ENERGY STAR qualified UPS system, the SL700U is a testament to CyberPower's commitment to energy efficiency. Its GreenPower UPS Technology improves operating efficiency, reduces heat generation, and consumes less power than conventional UPS models. The SL700U also utilizes Simulated Sine Wave Output, using pulse wave modulation to generate a stepped, approximated sine wave. This provides cost-effective battery backup power for equipment that does not require sine wave output. Whether you need to power desktop computers, workstations, personal electronics, home networking devices, or laptop computers, the CyberPower SL700U UPS system offers a durable, reliable, and convenient power solution.

The CyberPower SL700U is a 700VA/370W standby UPS for home-office users who want backup power and surge protection for a desktop PC, monitor, or network equipment, with five battery-backed outlets and three surge-only outlets.
Recommended For
- Home-network owners who want a slim UPS for a modem, Wi-Fi router, mesh access point, or Ethernet switch—especially in a tight network cabinet or closet. A professional review specifically found it suited to keeping low-draw network equipment running through brief outages.
- People fitting backup power into a structured wiring panel or other shallow space; the slim form factor and wall-mount slots support discreet placement where a conventional tower UPS may not fit.
- Home-office users who need a short window to save work and shut down a modest-load desktop during a power interruption, rather than extended computer operation.
- Users connecting several small home-network or personal-electronics devices who value multiple outlets, two widely spaced adapter outlets, and USB-A charging; only five of its eight AC outlets provide battery backup.
Real-World Use Scenarios
- Keep a home internet connection available during a brief outage: connect the modem and Wi-Fi router to battery-backed outlets, so they can continue running while power is out, provided the internet provider’s equipment is still operating.
- Back up a small home-network setup, such as a router, modem, and Ethernet switch: the low-power devices can stay connected through short interruptions, helping keep local networking and internet access available while the UPS has battery power.
- Protect a NAS or other home storage device from a sudden power loss: use the battery window to keep it powered briefly and, with USB monitoring and compatible shutdown settings configured, give it time to shut down cleanly rather than losing power mid-operation.
- Give a modest desktop setup time to save work and shut down during a short outage: this is a limited backup window, not a way to keep a high-draw gaming or workstation PC running for long; check the actual load and device compatibility first.
- Place a UPS in a tight home-office or networking area: its slim form and wall-mount option can make it easier to position near a desk, behind equipment, or in a small network cabinet while keeping essential devices plugged in.
