can it be downgraded to win 7 pro?

I downgraded to Win 7 64-bit.  It wasn't a problem.  The 64 gig SSD holds Win 7 no problem.  You'll need to remember to put everything on the D drive.There's a dvd with Win 8 if you decide to upgrade later.  This systemis wicked fast.

Unfortunately no but Windows 8.1 seems to work fine so far just takes some getting use too.  This machine is a beast, I am a fan.

Question 3

I've heard people complain about crashing? Is this a commonly occuring problem? Is it 4 or 5 out of the bunch?

Yes. The cyberpowerPC we have crashes constantly. We had thought that it was the operating system / had planed to reload it. We have been to rushed at the store to do anything with it. The crashes come at various times. At times it crashes and looses all our passwords, saved information,etc. at other times it simply requires rebooting.
We made two attempts to contact the manufacture for some input, Both returned to us / E-mail with "cannot find this addres". We have not contacted Newegg for a RMA. Really do not want to send it back, when it works it does work beautifully. We had thought about buying a small solid state drive, and loading the operating system on that. We had thought about adding memory (unsure if we should fill all slots with 4 GB of memory, or only the next two slots (?????).
Anyway, there is something wrong with our computer. If we can get it to work correctly. it will be a super computer. But it definatly has problems.

You may notice that these are lower than the minimum system requirements for v1.0. This is because Square Enix wants the game to be more accessible and run on a wider range of PCs.

You can add up to 128GB maximum of RAM.
The motherboard is made by MSI.  msi x79a-gd45 plus. Not too shabby!

So the answer is four.  They are backwardly compatible so they will work with older versions.

It already has a Radeon hd 7770 in it so unless you think you need to upgrade to a higher one, you already have a good one in it

yeah i use it all the time to do that, every game i play i play on very high, i play games like bioshock infinite and metal gear rising, so i don't know if you are playing games that are more demanding but you should be fine.

Is this a good desktop for home video editing?

I use it for Hi def home video editing and it is very capable. I would suggest not using the SSD as the scratch disk for video editing, the speed is not needed since rendering videos is CPU limited, not disk limited and the SSD is a bit small for anything other than programs and OS.

Is the PSU 80 Bronze or better?

According to the label on the power supply it says it is an HMW model XG-H600 600 watt power supply and it has an emblem either 80 Gold or 80 Bronze colored.  I cannot tell the difference of the color Gold or Bronze so it is at least rated at Bronze. Maybe Gold.  But a search on that company HMW turns up nothing about it.
