Pros: appearance, functionality, accuracy, weight.

Cons: every once in awhile i would have to blow into the bottom of the mouse to remove a hair that was blocking the laser

Overall Review: lasted only 29 months. it no longer tracks movement. no obstructions, i disassembled it and thoroughly cleaned it.. cant get it to work anymore.

Pros: This is the BEST mouse ever built! I mean EVER built. Don't reinvent the mouse trap, build a better mouse I always say. Saitek you finally have made me prouder than I have ever been. Quality of construction will make this mouse last forever! I guess that could be a con for them. I think for the Money, this is the best value for quality I have seen in a very long time.

Cons: Saitek Software, is functional, but not intuitive and never has been. Belkin has excelled at theirs IMHO The software is adequate though and does what it is supposed to do. No loss of stars.

Overall Review: GOOD BYE RAZOR, your cheap quality and high prices will put you out of business.

Pros: -It looks sick. Like the Batmobile just parked on my desk. I find myself trying to like the mouse more because it looks so cool (and was rather expensive). -Customizable options are nice. I've never owned a mouse with ANY customizations besides weight so this was a nice touch. Not completely necessary but I like it. -Overall it's comfortable and the button placement works well. I adjusted the side buttons so the sniper buttons is right on my thumb and now the back button is a little too far back so it's not completely perfect for me but it's about as comfortable as I've experienced. -Profiles are handy. I have a profile where the side scroll adjusts system volume and the back and forward buttons are next and previous for my media player. Another profile uses the scroll as a Windows Zoom. Lots of possibilities once you start wondering how you can make use of all the buttons. -Seems to be quality built. It's got a metal base plate which I thought was sick by itself.

Cons: -Plastic ring around optical sensor tends to catch hair. I have a dog so little, short, straight pieces of dog hair show up all over the place and if any find their way onto my mouse pad this mouse seems to find them. This throws the sensor off and it won't work right until I pull the hair out. Have to be religious about keeping hair off the pad and it's the only major problem I've had with this mouse. -Doesn't seem to work at all on certain slick surfaces. Not a big deal since I like a little texture but my old Razer worked on everything. My mouse pad is double sided and one side the mouse cursor doesn't even move. I consider myself lucky that I had the rough side or else I would have thought the mouse was DOA. -When I boot the computer the mouse doesn't register movement until I've moved it around for a few seconds. It works fine after but it's as if the mouse stays asleep until you tell it to wake up.

Overall Review: My last three mice were Razer. I had the Diamondback which was my first real gaming mouse. I loved it so much that when Razer released their Blue limited edition IR version of it I bought that too. I then upgraded to the Copperhead when that was released. I had been using the Copperhead ever since (4 or 5 years?) and it was getting grimy, faded and I had to fix a button a couple years back so it was only a matter of time before it stopped working. Time for an upgrade... I had my eyes on these RAT mice for a while and always wanted to at least give it a shot. Wasn't sure if I was willing to fork out the dough so I asked for one for christmas and here we are! Overall I'm satisfied with it. If it wasn't for the hairy sensor we would be best buds. Also taking time to get used to a new mouse shape after nearly a decade of Razer. As I don't game much anymore and I'm not nearly competitive about it this may very well be my last gaming mouse. Hopefully it lasts like my Razers

Pros: Customization is endless, both in hand and in DPI. And it looks like it is going to turn into a Transformer!!! SNIPER MODE!!!!!!!!!

Overall Review: *The sniper mode is what makes this little "Transformer" stand out in the crowd!!! Slow the DPI to however slow you prefer, at the touch of a button, while in game!!! *Minor detail, but I am still having trouble attempting to customize the thumb roller thing. But, it is shiny!!!

Pros: The fact that this product is related in any way to the Mad Catz company is simply astounding. Forget those cheap chintzy plastic N64 controllers. Everything that could have gone wrong with the adjustable palm/thumb/pinky rests went totally right. I have had a hard time choosing between the three included palm rests but have settled on the rubberized version. Customization software is more than adequate and allow for mapping of any keyboard key to any of the mouses buttons. The main buttons are crisp and offer adequate feedback and the main scroll wheel offers a mild clicking to its smooth scrolling. I have seen some people complain of excessive pointer movement when lifting the mouse but have not experienced this myself, at most the cursor moves 5-10 pixels up or down but this does not hinder rapid movement. Also major pluses +braided cord +precision mode button +firm back/forward buttons +easy to use software +best DPI switch in any mouse

Cons: This mouse is slightly heavier than expected, even with the weights removed, likely due to its solid frame. I have found the button to switch the pre-programed modes (to the left of the left click button)difficult to push quickly, and due to its odd angle its nearly impossible to see what color it is (to indicate which mode you have selected) while actually using the mouse. The thumb wheel is slightly out of the way as it is connected to the main body of the mouse and not the thumb rest that flares outward. I also found the little allen wrench under the palm rest to be slightly difficult to screw back in.

Overall Review: After coming from a razer mouse overall this is the best mouse I have had the pleasure of using. kudos to madcatz for putting some pre-programmed profiles up on their website. If you are looking for a mouse that fits your hand no matter what, check this one out

Pros: Just fyi: I have small hands and tend to hold my mice "claw style" (my hand lies far back on the mouse, and it move it with my fingers instead of my wrist/arm). - Great tracking - so smooth and responsive. I bought this when it first came out and I was one of the lucky ones to not have any sensor problems (iirc, the philips sensor used in this mouse had some issues where the pointer would move around even if the mouse was still). - Looks awesome. It's like a transformers jet lamborghini with glowing red lights. 'Nuff said. - Customization. It's not just a gimmick. You can genuinely change the feeling of the mouse by swapping out parts and pushing things around. - 5600dpi. 5600. I'll just say that again. 5600. That's more dpi then you will probably ever need (or want). - DPI rocker switch and sniper button. Having physical buttons on the mouse is great for making quick adjustments in-game. The sniper switch works really well for pixel painting in photoshop too :)

Cons: - Weight. Even with all of the weights removed, the mouse is surprisingly hefty. I prefer lighter mouse (because of my grip style). - Iffy build quality. You've probably read some reviews addressing the questionable quality. I'm inclined to agree with the bulk of those reviews, although please read my Other Thoughts for my own experience. - Sensor issues. I was one of the lucky ones who don't have any sensor issues, but I think I am the exception (that is, most people do have sensor issues). Please see my Other Thoughts for more about this (it's an issue in all mice that use the philips twin-eye sensor used in this mouse, including the Razer Imperator) - Price. Yeah, yeah, it had a lot of features, but the mouse doesn't feel like a $100 mouse. It has far too many issues for that price point.

Overall Review: Ok. Let's talk quality. I had this mouse for 14 months before the middle mouse button broke. One day, I was happily scrolling and the scroll button seemed to just "snap off" (indeed that's exactly what happened) and the scroll wheel just spun freely like a flywheel. I was out of warranty, so I had to take it apart and fix it (not that big of a deal, just unscrew everything and superglue the scroll button back onto the click/scroll module). It works fine now, but I've since switched to a Deathadder as my main mouse (using this as a backup). The sensor. iirc, the sensor used in this mouse is a new Philips twin-eye sensor that gives the mouse it's insane 5600dpi. Traditional sensors are mounted perpendicularly to the surface. The twin-eye is actually comprised of two sensors that are angled. When angled correctly, these sensors should function like a super-precise single sensor, but when the angle is slightly off, it causes some major twitching and movement when the mouse is lifted

Pros: Has a lot of options to customize; hardware and software. Decent number of buttons and wheels that can be used for macros.

Cons: It was over-designed to look cool. As I mentioned in the pros, there are a lot of hardware configurations that may fit your needs, but these adjustments are gimmicky and overall useless. I've tried for nonconsecutive hours to get this mouse into a configuration that makes the buttons easy to press and the mouse overall more ergonomic to no avail. tracking is spotty. Will work great for a week, then it will lose tracking on either the x or y axis until you pick it up and lay it back down. Even then sometimes it won't work unless you hit it somewhat aggressively. A bit of googling taught me that this is a very common issue with this mouse. There are tons of forums discussing this issue. All of this of course took a lot of time to discover, long after I no longer had the choice to return it.

Overall Review: yeah I'd avoid this one. Pretty much a paperweight at this point.

Pros: I was really hyped about this mouse when it was first announced and got it as soon as it was available on the internet. This mouse does not disappoint. - Like advertised you can adjust the mouse to make it fit nicely into your hand. Great for palm and claw grippers. - This is a heavy mouse but heft makes your movements more consistent at the cost of speed. So depending on your play style this can be a pro or con. -Due to the custom fit, I experience less fatigue after long hours of playing despite the weight of the mouse.

Cons: - Maybe too sensitive sensor? Your cursor might move whenever you click the mouse. It's not much to be noticeable while playing most games but can annoy you sometimes. If you're one to double click units in SC2 then this mouse might make you relearn how to select your units since the one pixel movement of the cursor makes the game not register the double click but rather as two single clicks. - Not for fingertip grips. I used to have a fingertip grip but it's no longer possible to use such a grip with the size of this mouse.

Overall Review: Still works great after a year. Definitely recommended to any gamer despite its small quirks. But get a good mousepad a long with it in order to minimize con #1.
