Will this unit work with windows 7 or higher?

Yes. I've used it with XP to 10 and several different tablets and phones. And it doesn't require a power-reset after running for a long time (like other units I've used in the past).

Hi recently just ordered this and I was wondering if I will still need to buy a modem for this?? Or can this be used as one??

This is a wireless access point only that you would plug into a router or a combination cable modem/router.   If you have cable internet you need a cable modem and a router or a combination cable-modem / router.  Usually your cable internet company provides a cable modem (that you rent) which has one or more network ports.  If it has only one network port, you will need to get a router if you plan to connect more than one network device.

how much range or radius in feet can this router extend?

I use this router in an old 8,000 sq.ft. retail store with poured concrete floors. I have not noticed an issue, or drops .

Can you use 2 of these to connect to a single wireless network?  I have 2 groups of equipment in 2 different areas, and the wireless router is upstairs.

Yes, you should be able to. The wireless router shouldn't care that there are multiple wireless bridges attached to it - they're just another wireless client as far as it's concerned (well, technically there is some difference between a bridge and, say, a PC - but having more than one still isn't an issue).

The only scenario where you'd be limited to a 1-1 bridge is if you bought a set of point-to-point radios specifically configured to pair to one another. Which would be a very different product from this, and probably wouldn't use normal 802.11 wifi.

I'm looking to install a wireless network in a large office. Can I chain some of these together to make a line of APs? or will i need run lines to each?

They can all be in the same IP address pool but you can have more than one network running on them.  They're not daisy chained per se, but each one is connected to a central switch.  How you space them out is a matter of your Cat5 power over ethernet length.  I have one central unidirectional antenna that all of my Ubiquiti Bullet M5's are aimed at and serve as bridges.  The bullet feeds any size switch you want; 4, 6, 8, etc. and this switch feeds your AP's.  They all show up in the controller software, no matter how many you have.  On the same AP's I have several WiFi networks so that I can have different passwords and turn one off while the other is on.  Great for students vs teacher access.
