There are many bad reviews, all of them are due to the firmware issues. Can someone please confirm to me whether these are fixed?

Not sure how recent Manav read any reviews. I had no problems setting it up in fact it took less than 5 minutes to complete. I connected 2 cell phones, 2 tables, a MP3 player, a Roku and 13 computers with no trouble. I've had mine over a month and no problems have shown up yet! I've always bought D-Link products. I'm still using a D-Link print server. It's  been about 8 years working 24/7 since I bought it!  Hope this helps you're decision? Ciao

4k Streaming has nothing to do with a router. A router is "routing" your network traffic, it is not responsible for your bandwidth. A router can be a bottleneck if it does now support the speeds that your service is providing, but those cases arent very common. If you're interested in 4k streaming you should make sure that you have a decent (100Mb/s+) amount of bandwidth from your service provider.

not yet, but what exactly do you mean by 'cloud compatible'? If you are asking can you connect by USB, then no. But if you are asking if you can connect a cloud type external or Wi-Fi network drive then yes. As long as the drive itself supports cloud functions or you use something like DLNA for streaming.
