Haven't try it. It should work if your motherboard works with windows 8.

Will this work on older computers that use the G range, not N?

While the simple answer is yes since it covers b and g in addition to n, it may be a moot point. If the computer you ask about is the computer in question then it is irelevant. This will be treated as you wireless card and will pick up n as well. (provided you have the drivers. This will not fit a laptop though.

Will this be compatible with an AT&T uverse modem/router? Does router have to be clink brand?

It shouldn't matter. Works just like any other integrated WiFi system in a Phone or Laptop. I've connected with a few different systems on mine personally and haven't had any compatibility issues.

What is the minimum os that this will work on? Like XP, VISTA?

I installed this adapter on a XP machine and it performs very well ... although I must add that I let windows manage the WiFi connection and not the software that came with the adapter
