WILL THIS CARD RECIEVE A SIGNAL FROM A WIRELESS MODEM ?

I'm not completely sure I understand what you mean by wireless modem so I hope my answer is relevant.  If you’re referring to a Wireless DSL or cable modem/router so long as it's operating as an 802.11g/n device they should be able to communicate.

802.11n would be best, and you should see up to 300Mbs if used on both ends; depending on the environment.  802.11g is backward compatible to 802.11b devices so it should be able to use that as well, but it will be much slower.

On my home theater PC I use this card to connect to my 802.11n MIMO WiFi router at a solid 300Mbs to access my media server, my WiFi router is connected to a cable modem/router at 100Mbs over ethernet, and my Internet service is around 30Mbs down.
