Everything, this CPU is absolutely insane. I normally don't buy parts brand new, but I new this was gonna be amazing and in VERY high demand. Decided to pull the trigger and I have ZERO regrets. Went from a Ryzen 9 3900X to the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Most games I think I have doubled my average FPS. Also keep in mind some of this performance gain was also just going to the new platform with DDR5.

Fast processor, easy on power and runs cool, keeps up extremely well with our other computer's Ryzen 7 7700x, especially considering it's only a Ryzen 5.

Get the high speed when you need it otherwise doesn't draw too much power when just web browsing. Getting the higher frame rates in Madden 25 and NBA 2K 25 without needing to use 100% CPU. Boh games around 70% CPU usage now compared to 13400.

Maintains a reliable lower temperature than its competition in i9 14900k series from Intel. Most of the benchmarks outperform the i9 14900k but some do not. For the most part I really enjoy having the AMD Ryzen 9 flagship CPU in my system. The memory bandwidth is nearly double that of the i9 14900 with 6000MHz memory versus the Intel CPU running 7200MHz memory.

Fast gaming performance. I paired with G-SKill Trident DDR5-6400 CL32. There's a noticeable response performance in the operating system when launching browser, folders and apps on the AM5 platform coming from AM4 Zen3. Getting 250-350 FPS in Fortnite and 150+ in COD WZ with RTX-4070Ti.
Passmark CPU went from 8,000 to almost 20,000 (1400 to 5500 Ryzen) Getting about 15-20% more out of my GPU (typically +20fps on most games) Stock cooler better than i expected in terms of size and quality CPU upgrade will extend my current PC for another 2 years before going AM5 $99 wow

Less power draw, lower temps, better frame rates, then 7700x. Seems better than outgoing model my opinion.

Coming from 11900k I definitely noticed the difference the 14900k is a monster
Excellent performance. I have had zero issues. It has lots of single and multi-core power and it will likely chew up and spit out anything you throw at it. I upgraded from the first gen 16 core threadripper that was struggling under DX12 ray tracing, and it was a huge upgrade for me.
Zero issues, was slightly afraid of a marginal loss compared to my last build that had a 7600x but im def not seeing anything. Plus, considering you can get this cheaper also with a free stock cooler. I'll still say if the difference between the two are less the 10 bucks then get the 7600x but otherwise get this. 10/10.
