Build quality is excellent. Took a little trial and error to get adjusted but very comfortable now! Easy initial setup. Software is very easy to use. EQ settings were more robust than my previous headset and I suspect likely the same for most modern headsets. Switching between dongle / bluetooth is very easy if I want audio from my computer vs my phone.
Lightweight and great sound
-great sound -excellent design -easy connectivity -diverse compatibility -mic is ok
The headphones came packaged well, with a manual one could understand. At the price there are no serious complaints. They are comfortable, the controls work well, as does the ANC (which is rare to find at this price), and it seems to hold a charge well. As far as the sound goes, they handle bass really well and fidelity is fantastic for the price. Overall sound is as good as those I've bought that were much more expensive. I've now bought two pair. The first one is holding up perfectly after months of use, and now have another bass backup.
I use my Cloud Alphas for gaming, streaming movies, and listening to music. They perform beautifully for each. Exactly what I was hoping for in a headset. Directional sounds in games are clear. The mic provides a clear sound and masks background sounds - per friends and family I asked when using the headset for the first time. I like that the mic is removable, so it is not in my way when watching movies or just listening to my favorite playlists. And I can wear the headset for hours of game play without feeling the discomfort I experienced with my old headset. Movie sounds from dialog to explosions are sharp. But, more important for me, is that the headset also shines when listening to music. I listen to a range of music from classical to blues to rock to metal, and the headset holds its own from highs to lows.
- I've always used wired headsets in the past because I didn't want to have to recharge, but having a wireless headset is actually very nice - Holds a charge for quite awhile. I would guess 8-10 hours or so, although I have yet to drain it from 100% to 0% - You can set lighting for the ear pieces using iCue if you have other Corsair products - Automatically mutes when you raise the mouthpiece up away from your mouth, which is a nice feature - The volume switch is also synched up to the system volume on your computer, which is nice. I've had some headsets where the volume is internal to the headset so you have like 2 volume settings you need to pay attention to
When I 1st opened them I thought they looked kind of small. Much smaller than the my previous Logitech ones. I thought they would squish my ears which can cause headaches for me. But I'm pleasantly surprised. They fit fine, maybe a bit better than my old ones.
-Sidetone -eq through software -logitech software in general -removable mic -comfy and im prone to head fatigue with cans -noisy house, no unreasonable bleed
good quality
Good bass Easy splitter setup No usb to the computer in addition to splitter cable
Great headset all around
great headset long battery life, great sound, very comfortable, 10/10 would reccoment
This headset is the most comfortable one I have used. Able to wear it for hours and unlike some other ones I have tried, no sore ears! It also has a good wireless range - able to go do anything in the room and also even to the bathroom. the battery last a long time, can be used while plugged in too.
fits my head comfortably. Good vocal qualities from mic system. I can listen to music as loud as i want and no game explosions or gunfire disturbs the others in the household. Battery life is substantial - lasted for 6+ hrs of gaming time. Not to expensive
- works out of the box and sounds great without adjustments - Armory Crate offers TONS of settings so you can change the EQ or even add a bass boost if that's your jam. One feature that stood out to me is that you can change the voice notifications from muting the mic or when the battery is low, to just use beeps instead of a voice. This is a feature they did not have to add but I personally don't like a voice and prefer just beeps, so props for adding a feature that I have yet to see before. - Lots of features on the headset itself, like a built in media play/pause button on the left side or a sperate volume solider for the Bluetooth channel. - Speaking of Bluetooth a neat feature this has is that you can be connected via 2.4GHz and Bluetooth at the same time with no issues. I have messed with this a bit and being able to answer a call with the headset while playing a game is nifty to say the least. I am not one to use that a ton but still a cool feature. - Comes with a second pair of earpads that are more cloth feeling, which is nice since I hate the fake leather stuff that peels after a while. - Has a very long battery life if RGB and Bluetooth are turned off. Lasted me more than a week and I play 5+ hours a day usually. Charges quickly too, I got +20% battery life off of a 30 min charge. - On/off is a switch instead of a button. This could be a con depending on how durable it is but with all the buttons on the headset, having the on/off be a physical switch makes it so you can't accidentally turn it off when trying to mute, which is a nice feature so far. - I am not an audiophile but the sound quality if very good. My previous headset was a HyperX cloud II wireless and to me is sounds slightly better than that and you can mess around with the EQ setting to make it fit your needs. - headset is very light but doesn't feel cheaply made. - All settings are saved to the headset so you can set the EQ you want and get rid of Armory crate if you want.
7.1 Surround sound via Microsoft Sonic. Mic works great. Works better then my 175.00 Dollar Razer Megalodon. My friends tell me I'm much clearer on Team Speak and Discord. Comes with an extension cable if the original cable isn't long enough. Simple plug and play and it works Extremely well. Simply can't beat this headset for the price.... Ultra Comfortable for those long gaming sessions.
