Synology NAS arrived early and was easy to set up. Operating without faults!!

So easy to setup physically and soft. Enought apps for my needs (Streaming movies) With a WD red in it, was able to stream over Wi-Fi and copyng large files at the same time on it. Silent Robust construction No compatibility limitations compare to... tried to give Ugreen a try and I was really impressed.

Decent price for the hardware, sleek design, upgradable RAM, software updates are frequent, drive bays are solid, can control fan speed for the CPU

Good Interface, stable product, great price, good online Video training, easy to setup for basic functions, easy to link to vie home network, TV connections. Quite and good power management.

This is my second DS1621+ (backs up my first) and they work really well. I only use them to backup my PC files from 6 active computers in my household, so I'm not really hammering the drives with media server or plex server functions. For me the Synology NAS's are the bext. I'm also running 4 Drobos as a third backup and, whilst the drobos are much simpler to setup, I much prefer the Synologies.

Excellent solid hardware (2.5GB LAN, M.2 Storage for cashing, I/O Ports) at a great price. Installation of hardware (drives, etc.) done well. UGREEN NAS app make it simple and quick to get the unit up and running.

I buy the Synology for the ability to mix size and type of disks in them. The 2 disk hybrid format is a critical safety feature when combined with my mixed pile of old drives. What I did was use this one just as a NAS drive and set up the IP for a direct connection to a single PC. I then just filled it with spare drives. We are using up all the way down to 320 GB drives I have had since around 2006. They have been just sitting on the shelf collecting dust as I use bigger more modern 20_TB drives in the rest of the drives. Thus server is where old disks will go to die. From WD "green" drives to 2.5" laptop drives from various laptops. This is a nice advantage of these servers. I have a bunch of Synology gear for work so it was logical to buy this add on box.

i was looking for a new Plex server for full 4k HD remux HEVC mkv files. This is it!!! Play files without issue using LG tv plex app. If youre looking for a new Plex server you wont regret this purchase.

It just works. And in the computer world thats a big win. Runs as fast as a local hard drive.
