Graphics: Are polish from what civ 5 looked like, animations are the same on vehicles and soldiers as the ones on civ 5 but somwhow they look more fluid. Diplomacy: Is a lot better than civ 5, actually on my opinion that was the worst civ 5 part, the diplomacy sucked very very bad, other leaders were asking for favors all the time, and when you needed something even the most simple thing they would refuse to help you, not to mention that they were alwas asking you to go to war against other leaders. and calling you just to tell you that you suck. now all of that its gone, they only call you for important reasons, such as deals, friendships declarations etc.... one thing i loved is that they dont ask for free stuff anymore, when they need something and you dont need something from them, they offer you ¨favor voucher¨, which you can use later on when you need something from them so they pay you back in some way. Units: After some hours into the game i can say that the fact that each affinity has its special units is just awesome, and those units are very powerful, remember the time on civ 5 that in a war was your tanks/ marines or 2nd world war soldiers and planes, against the same kind of units, well that is pretty much over on beyond earth, unless you are fighting another civ with the same affinity then you will be facing different units each unit with their strenghts and abilities, also by getting more affinity levels you can improve the old units so they wont be obsolete it has take me some time to get used to the new techologies web, at the start it can be very confusing but you get used to it in the way that you learn to focus your research on your affinity and special units/victory conditions. Aliens: On the previous games the barbarians were always a important factor of the game at least at the begining. but in my opinion the barbarians at least on civ 5 on the late game was very bad, they were just annoying, sometimes you were at war with tanks, stealth bombers etc against other civ, and suddenly you had one of your cities work squares all destroyed by barbarians with bows and maces dressed on dirty primitive clothing, that was very unrealistic and even more the fact that somehow being barbarians with no access to any science they would suddenly pop with machine guns and high end weapons. that being said, now they are replaced by the aliens living on the planet, and aliens are amazing, from the start you may find yourself with very powerful ones that laugh at your pitty weapons, theres a lot of types and it takes a lot of time and resources to fight them which i think its nice. Quests and Science; Quests are amazing, and they provide nice rewards also i love the way most of them gives you multiple rewards choices so you can really shape your civ as you like. also the science tree its good, it takes some time to understand how it works the benefits. Music: Awesome soundtrack, it fits perfect into the game.
