Excellent Drive

Pros: Drive worked great right from the start. Very fast, replacing a previous SATA II SSD.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I would consider the 840 Pro before the 840 because of the longer life from it's use of MLC memory rather than the TLC memory that the 840 series uses. The free game offered, Assassin's Creed III isn't free. Ubisoft's ordering system makes you create an account that you may not want requiring name, birthday (a security risk), address and phone number for the download, then tries to charge you $50 for the free game even after inputting the free download code. Don't consider anything supposedly free from Ubisoft as part of the buying decision, base it solely on the product you are considering.

Pros: Drive was easy to install.
Cons: Drive was not able to finalize any type of disc. Although the discs were readable, at the end of each burn it would report that it was unable to finalize and failed the burn, and Nero 10 would stop responding. Replaced with a Pioneer BDR-206BKS which works fine.
Drive Failure

Pros: Decently fast drive when it works
Cons: Bought two of them, one failed after only 3 months. That's a 50% failure rate. I made sure the replacement was a made in Thailand Seagate drive rather than made in China.
Overall Review: I made sure the replacement was a made in Thailand Seagate drive rather than made in China.

Pros: Drive works flawlessly.
Cons: None.

Pros: Good Blender
Cons: None
Overall Review: Be aware that the blender was not double-boxed when shipped. This is the first time I've seen this from Newegg in the several years I've been buying from them. While shipped securely in the sturdy box it comes in, if you order this as a present, it won't be a surprise once it arrives.

Pros: The drive is functional.
Cons: While the drive works, it is very slow burning, and the firmware cannot be updated. The drive came with the original firmware, and Lite-On's firmware updater cannot identify and update the drive, either with the drive connected to the M/B SATA controller, or an add-in SATA card. It simply says there are no qualifying drives installed.
Overall Review: If you want to be able to update the firmware to take advantage of the faster speeds of newer media, look elsewhere.
