Better than most
Pros: Price on sale was great. Unit will actually do 400 Watts, I've found most will not do what they claim. Neatly packaged.
Cons: As others have pointed out, the placement of the power switch could be better. With some plugs you could shut it off plugging something in. The wires for the accessory plug and battery connection run quite hot at high load, they could be a gauge or two heavier.
Overall Review: We test inverters at my place of employment. Basically we take imported inverters (and other products) and verify their function vs the manufacturer claims so that the importer can verify they are getting what they expect. Most cannot do the continuous rating that is claimed. I verified this one will do 400 watts just fine. It draws around 40 amps with 400 watts load. The unit shuts down on overload about 430 watts (if it didn't you'd blow the 40-amp input fuse). The surge ratings on these units are pretty much meaningless. None of them will do much over their continuous rating even for a fraction of a second, including this one. Also, this is NOT a modified sine inverter, it is a squarewave inverter. Fine for most loads, but be aware that wall transfomers, brushless ac motors, some fluorescent ballasts etc will run somewhat hotter with this type of inverter.
Pros: The picture is good. It is a great TV for the price
Cons: The sound is the absolute worst I've ever heard. You hear about some bargain TVs having poor sound and a lot of them do, but this one is MUCH worst than you would ever expect. It is almost funny it is so bad.
Overall Review: I bought this because I wanted 4K in a larger TV on a budget. Works fine with any kind of sound system, but the built-in sound is pretty much unusable. Scanned OTA channels with a small antenna and didn't find any, will try with a better antenna.
Does not work after a few weeks
Pros: It printed....for a while
Cons: A couple weeks in and it will not read the SD card. Card works fine in any other computer, tried other SD cards...it simply will not read the SD card after just a couple weeks of use. Tried printing directly from Cura software, that does not work with this printer either. No legitimate manufacturer website can be found for LESHP or EZT3D. Unit is now a very large paper weight.
Overall Review: Easy to assemble? Sure it is easy enough...but be ready to spend 4-6 hours assembling.
No OTA 480i
Pros: Works OK with inputs besides tuner.
Cons: This unit will NOT display Over The Air 480i content properly. In standard aspect mode it chops a huge chunk of the right and left sides of the picture off. You can get the right and left by putting it in 'overscan' mode, but then you lose a huge chunk of the top and the bottom. Displays 720 and 1080 OTA channels fine, but in my area most everything is 480i. Set is worthless for what I purchased it for. Having to get a code online to scan channels the first time is pretty stu_pid. Can't for the life of me understand why they would do this???
Overall Review: It takes a pretty crap_py company to put out a product that doesn't perform its most basic function. I realize most people have cable or satellite these days, but to put a product on the market with such a ridiculous bug is just pathetic. What is the point of including a tuner if it doesn't operate properly?
Pros: None really. Boasts a lot of options, but they are worthless because of poor picture quality. Price would be great if the camera were any good for taking pictures. I was able to take a large number of terrible photos with the included batteries.
Cons: The image quality on this camera is the worst I've ever seen. Images are terribly grainy except in very bright light (the flash won't help you either). The auto focus is hit or miss. I took a couple dozen shots of our Christmas tree and NONE were even close to being in focus. Movie mode is completely unusable, about like a 10 or 15 dollar toy camera. Not even good enough for youtube. The zoom goes straight from wide to full zoom almost instantly, making it impossible to frame your subject. I wanted so badly to like this camera, I tried all the settings over and over again. It just doesn't measure up.
Overall Review: I would urge anyone considering this camera to find a review which includes sample images and in particular a sample video. Note that the ones in the reviews are typically better than what the average user can get and they are still very poor. There are WAY better cameras out there for the same money. This was my first Nikon and will be my last. I will be returning this camera as fast as I possibly can.
