Best quality/price ratio

Intel Core i7-920 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 1366 130W Processor - BX80601920
Intel Core i7-920 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 1366 130W Processor - BX80601920

Pros: This processor is so unbelievably fast. Of course there are faster i7's on the market, but you can't beat it for the price. CPU intensive video transcoding jobs that used to take 2 hours now take 20 minutes (of course i also upgraded the RAM, so that surely helped as well). It even runs quite cool with the included heatsink and fan.

Cons: None.

Works as designed

Rosewill RCR-IC001 - 3.5" Internal 40-in-1 Card Reader with USB 2.0 Port & Extra Silver Face Plate

Pros: I got this free with my $25 microATX case. You can't beat free. It works and looks OK, what more do you want?

Cons: None.

Tri-channel setup is FAST

Pros: I set up 3 of these in a tri-channel setup. Unbelievably great performance for the price.

Cons: None

Quiet, works great, looks nice

Thermaltake Purepower W0100RU 500 W ATX 12V 2.0 Power Supply
Thermaltake Purepower W0100RU 500 W ATX 12V 2.0 Power Supply

Pros: Quiet and matches well with my black case. Cords are wrapped in wire mesh which makes things less tangled.

Cons: Almost too many cords, and too long. It wasn't really a con for me because I was able to tuck the extra cords away in one of the expansion slots, but you might find it a bit much. I guess that's what you can expect with a higher end PSU though.
