Fast & Easy Setup
Pros: I DID NOT use the CD to setup this device - set it up manually, which was very easy. Menu options are straightforward and easy to understand. Help is available on every menu page. Options are not as confusing as with some of the earlier WRT54xx series wireless routers. Option to split network into 2 separate HI/LO frequency subnets is great for video streaming if combined with the WES610N unit connected to your Internet-capable HDTV or other video streaming device. Works GREAT with my iPhone and iPad as well as multiple laptops. Set the SSID, configure your WPA2-Personal encryption key and away you go! Allows for parental controls which work! 2 options: school nights and weekends, select devices to apply restrictions to. Includes Dynamic DNS option if you have a DynDNS account as I do. Overall, this is a very good wireless router for a small to mid-size home. I use it with the WES610N and E2500 gigabit switch and have very good covereage in my two-story 2500 sq. ft. cabin.
Cons: Does not have wall-mount option or brackets molded in to mount on screws.
Overall Review: Provides good signal at extended distances.
Great Monitor w/ KVM
Pros: Great picture, good colors. Does what a IPS monitor should at 3440x1440
Cons: KVM switch lacking. A USB-C to USB-A adapter should be included since straight-through USB-C to USB-C did not function reliably. An adapter resolved the issue. Gigabyte should consider including an adapter with the package. Increasing rating to 5 eggs.
Overall Review: Would recommend if price were lower due to unreliability of KVM w/o adapter.
Fast
Pros: easily installed, automatically recognized by MSI Apache GE62 in UEFI BIOS mode.
Cons: no cons yet
Overall Review: Boot time of 8 seconds to Win10 login prompt.
Nice inexpensive printer
Pros: Easy setup and configuration under Windows 7 - software install for network connection went flawlessly, albeit a little slow. Individual ink cartridges rather than combined, which saves you money in the long run. Inks last much longer than any HP inkjets I've owned. Print quality, even for presentation-quality photos is remarkable. Scanner allows for saving in various file formats including .PDF
Cons: Won't allow for static (manually assigned) IP address, but even if it changes IP on a DHCP network, your computers will still find it since the print software looks for the MAC address, not the IP. Fax function is a bit confusing. LED Panel doesn't provide specific info on available options, so consulting the user manual is a high probablility. No backlight on digital display :-(
Overall Review: lightweight, small footprint, low ink consumption in comparison to similar HP printers.
Not quite as advertised
Advertisement showed Surface Pro 4, Microsoft keypad and Microsoft pen. Pen received was an off-brand that does not stick to the side of the Surface Pro 4 like a Microsoft pen would. Otherwise as advertised.
