Great Card
Pros: Upgraded from a GTX260 and it was worth it. I mostly game and I feel I definitely got my moneys worth. Games like Just Cause 2, Metro 2033, AvP etc all look and play smooth, I feel I may be bottlenecking my CPU though (See specs). So far the card does not seem to be running very hot at all in fact it seems to run cooler then my 260 card, two intake fans on the side of the case with 2 exhaust.
Cons: Availability. Had to upgrade my old PSU (ultra 550w) to an Ultra 750w no big deal though its expected.
Overall Review: System Specs: C2D e8500 MSI p965 Platinum Limited DDR2 800 4gb Vista Ultimate 32bit Ultra 750w PSU 25" LCD hannspree Card works great with everything, possibly bottlenecking CPU when gaming.
Nothing but problems
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: I had nothing but problems with this board from the get go, it would not recognize proper cpu speed, wouldn't detect my hard drives. When I finally got the PC booted with windows I then found out this particular board has an issue with the Razer Naga. Once I finally got everything setup and working (or so I thought) I then started to get random freezing/hard lock ups. I tested all my other hardware until I finally concluded that this board was junk. Could have been just DOA from the start as I did my research well before I purchased this board.
Overall Review: Newegg was very good at giving me a full refund with a pre paid shipping label. I purchased an MSI board to replace this one. I have had MSI boards previously and had great success with them but I wanted to try something new with this EVGA board and it didn't work out.
Pros: I'm cooling an I7-950 (not over-clocked) and it dropped the idle temp about 15' Celsius. Gaming is where I noticed the huge drop in temp, went 78-81 Celsius to now 48-50. I may over clock this in the future. Very easy to install and there are plenty of how to videos out there if you are worried.
Cons: none
Overall Review: The fan for the radiator has to be setup as an intake and the front fan setup as exhaust. I set my side fan as an intake as it blows right on my 480GTX which runs very hot anyways. Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA 1366 MSI X58 Pro-E LGA ADATA Gaming Series 4GB COOLER MASTER Elite RC-310 EVGA GTX480 VGA 015-P3-1480-AR GeForce GTX 480 (Fermi) 1536MB 384-bit GDDR5
Pros: Quiet and cheap
Cons: Doesn't quite push enough air but I was going more for silence then speed anyways
Pros: Fast FAST FAST. I'm a gamer and this has run everything great max settings with a 480GTX
Cons: Stock fan was noisy, I purchased a Spire cooler but even that is not cool enough. I may go with the Corsair H50 to cool this powerhouse down.
Pros: Work exactly as described, looks good inside the case and the price is right
Cons: none
