Great Program, Good Support
Pros: Works transparently - very much an idiot-proof set-and-forget affair, though there is a more hardcore mode if you really want to get into the nitty gritty. Full disk image easy to create and automatically update. Can flawlessly recover entire image to a new HD in as little as 30 minutes.
Cons: A recent Windows 7 update has changed Windows in such a way that the installer fails due to permission issues. Thankfully Norton's online tech support was top-notch and was able to remotely fix this issue for me very quickly. Hopefully the next version of Ghost implements this fix...you may want to double-check before purchasing.
Overall Review: I've been using Ghost for as long as I can remember and can't tell you how many times it's saved my bacon! The ability to very quickly install an image to a new hard drive makes upgrades as well as disaster recovery completely painless. No more reinstalling Windows and all my apps from scratch! :)
Pros: For the same price, just get a proper pair of open-ear headphones.
Cons: With everything retracted the thin multi-conductor wire connecting the two halves can undergo quite a lot of stress if in a pocket or backpack. Sound quality is only mediocre. Seating on the ear is only moderately secure.
Overall Review: Nice idea. The execution left me cold though.
*Great* board, despite the odd look!
Pros: Fast and Stable! The BIOS allows for some extremely detailed tweaking but also has an "idiot proof" mode for the more casual tweaker. The automatic memory clocking fail safe is a nice feature. Five year warranty is a plus!
Cons: Things are very cramped on the edge of the board farthest from the CPU - a double-wide video card in this slot may brush against the USB cables. With an open fan, this could be an issue. Can't really tell if the "thermal armor" is just "bling" at this point.
Overall Review: It was a tossup between this and the P8P67 DELUXE but, in the end, the cheaper price point and odd aesthetics won me over. Currently running my 2500K at 4.33Ghz stable and cool on air (Zalman CNPS9900A) with only very minor tweaks.
Pros: Solid construction. Excellent quality. Great price point! Lots of room. Lots of drive bays. 4U is tall enough for large CPU coolers like the ZALMAN CNPS9900ALED. Good interior airflow with a fully populated ATX mobo.
Cons: None really, though an extra 80mm fan would have been nice as there's an empty place for one.
Overall Review: Over the last few years I've bought four of these...they're that good! iStarUSA does a great job providing high quality at an affordable price.
Pros: Probably the most efficient heat sink paste out there. Great heat transfer. High metal content.
Cons: Pricey. A little goes a long way though.
Overall Review: Don't even bother using that inefficient white goo or light grey junk that came with your stock cooler or aftermarket thermal solution, dump it and use something that will actually add value to your build!
