Pros: Helped lower my E6300 temp using a Zalman 9700 by 20C both idle and full load. Great stuff.

Super cooler
ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
Pros: Lowered my E6300 Core2 Duo, overclocked at 2.8 GHz from 50 to 30C idle, and from 65 to 45 full load (20C difference!). I was using the stock cooler. Also, I am using Artic Silver 5 paste.

Powerhouse of graphics
EVGA 768-P2-N835-AR GeForce 8800GTX Superclocked 768MB 384-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
Pros: Bought this card for Oblivion. I am currently running it with EVERY value maxed out, at a resolution of 1920x1200 on a Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP Wide-Screen LCD. The game is smooth as ice both indoors and outdoors.

Most bang for your buck . . .
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 1.86 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6300
Pros: Unreal overclocking potential. I am currently running this processor at 2.8 GHz with a 1600 MHz FSB at 1.25V on an eVGA 680i at 31C with a Zalman 9700 cooler. I have not tried to go faster than this, but so far it has been nothing short of amazing.
