Pleased, works fine
Pros: Popped 2 x 1GB sticks in my HP ZV5000 and it works perfect. Does the job and now it can handle Adobe Lightroom. Alt-tabbing is now a breeze, and running out of memory is difficult task.
Cons: none whatsoever
Overall Review: HP Laptops built around the same year as mine all claim 1280MB max memory but its false. HP doesn't support upgrading the memory slot under the keyboard, so if you're not worried and your warranty is already expired go for it. I'm at 2GB now, and I'm pretty sure the system can support 4GB.
4th Board Works.....
Pros: Once I got a good board this thing is doing pretty good! Works as advertised. Currently overclocking, haven't reached peak yet due to heat issues.
Cons: Asus Quality Control is non-existant. My first board was DOA. Second board would not boot period. THIRD board would boot, but the minute you shut down, you would have to reset to boot. I don't know why I stuck it out but the FOURTH board, plugged it in and INSTANTLY booted, you've got to be kidding me. But hey, I'm not out of the woods yet, this board won't boot with my downstairs TV plugged in to HDMI. Can't figure it out, but once its booted it will work. My Samsung TV works fine. I don't get it.
Overall Review: I have to give this board no more than 3 eggs because of the month and a half of Bull I went though. I will never buy Asus again. In one of my defective boards I called Asus to get a new BIOS possibly, and they wouldn't give it to me without paying them 25 bucks, FOR A DEFECTIVE PART. Ripoff. I used to be a really big Asus fan. Goodbye Asus, when this board dies, which I'm sure it wont take long, we will part ways. Specs: 1055T Thuban Processor Gskillz F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM (4GB Ripjaws 7-8-7 @ 1700Mhz) TT 500watt Power Supply
Hmmm 7 years later....
Pros: Hmmmm 7 years later.... I just found this hard drive in a junk yard and its now my primary.... lol Running like a champ!
Cons: Its not SSD?
It works....
Pros: Worked right out of the box. Took my 1055T 6 core right up to 3.5Ghz on air, no issues whatsoever. Going past that is another story.
Cons: No VReg heatsinks, but they never got too hot at 3.5ghz (1.5Vcore I think) No apparent NB Voltage setting........???? Provided software (TurboV) doesn't work on this board, so you can't change voltages in OS as advertised. Sometimes it doesn't boot and hangs at hard drives. HDMI audio only worked about 40% of the time. Never could figure out why.
Overall Review: I eventually RMA'd it, it just couldn't do what I wanted to, and with the small issues it wasn't worth holding onto. If you're not a serious overclocker, then this board just might be right for you. The overclocking tools in BIOS are somewhat limited compared to the ATX versions. I'm not a very happy camper with Asus lately, most will agree, their quality control is going DOWNHILL. I am on my third motherboard and have yet to get a quality product...
Takes a little tweak, but nice in the end!
Pros: Alright, so I jumped on the lowest CL memory I could find at 1600 level. Installed in an AMD system with a 1055T hexacore on M4A88T-M/USB3 mobo. Currently at 1720Mhz with 7-8-7-24 timings and 1.7V. Haven't gone any higher yet, but I anticipate they will hold 1800Mhz with a extra voltage on the IMC. These sticks are performing so far!
Cons: It took alot to figure out how to get these things to perform! I originally ran them at 1.6V since they are rated for it. Everytime I ran Prime95, I would instantly blue screen. Someone suggested to me that this memory will love 1.7V. He was right. For this reason, I want to dink them an egg... but for some reason I'm not.
Overall Review: I wouldn't put these sticks in a cheap system. Considering the extra 'umpph' of sorts it took to get these to perform, make sure you are installing on a decent board with OC capabilities. If you're looking for some good memory for a decent price, get em!
Good Bang for the Buck!
Pros: Portable, Stylish and attractive. USB interface, volume control and mute on the cord.
Cons: Nothing really.
Overall Review: I would give these 4/5 but you cant ding the sound quality for the price. Its nothing spectacular, but it does the job. I don't think I like it as much as my other Logitech (non-usb) set but I can still plug them into this set. The real reason I bought this is because my sound fried up in my laptop, so I had to find an alternative. This set has drivers built in, so its like a new sound card for half the price.
Fast
No complaints whatsoever. Shipping was fast. Great seller!
