Great Laptop runs fast like a desktop

Pros: Has all the necessary ports, USB 3, C, network, hdmi, audio. 1 TB SSD, 16 gigs RAM and a fast Ryzen processor. The video powered by RTX 3050 TI seems adequate and has decent 3DM scores. Not as fast as my desktop Maximus Crosshair with Ryzen 7 3800 XT but hey, close. I have a RX 5700 XT video card on a 2K monitor and it is way faster than the 3050 TI. I think the TI video card will perform adequately during gaming. I have not actually played anything yet. Division 2 is my current addiction and I am sure it will run fine at 1920x1080, fingers crossed. Again all the 3DMark tests got decent scores. Screen excellent. 0 dead pixels, bright, fast. Worked perfectly out of the box.
Cons: No optical drive but do you really need one any more? The touch mouse pad is very touchy and skittish. Easy to drag folders and icons where you don't want. A mouse will soon be added. The CPU has an integrated Radion Video card in it. It's kind of weird having both nVida and Radion graphics software installed. I hope this doesn't become a gaming issue. I'm sure they tested that, right?! I like it doesn't have a camera but some may find it a bother.
Overall Review: Grate PC. You could do anything with this. Very snappy and responsive. I was sort of worried about screen size, but that is all good too. Good job ASUS! I love ROG products.
Gets to hot too handle

Pros: holds 240gb data on a usb drive
Cons: heat. gets too hot to touch. Also slows down considerably under load. If you puke 240GB of data for sneaker net transport of data it will slow down to <10 Mbs and become to hot too touch or even pull out of usb port when done.
Overall Review: For long time permanent use and to keep from returning it, I re-fomatted as FAT32 and stuck it on my PS3 USB for games, or use it to hold music for the usb ports in my car. Using a USB 2.0 port slows it down enough limiting the heat issue some. it still gets to warm too touch even if inactive. I would not buy again nor recommend. Better to have a SSD with an enclosure than this.
Drive bays stuck - slider switch not working

Pros: Unknown, never got to try it.
Cons: Drive bays won't open
Overall Review: Couldn't open drive bays as slider switch didn't work. Sent it back, requested refund. If they can be stuck closed without an M2 drive, then it could also get stuck closed with an M2 drive in it. Also a USB cable connection is required to access each drive. The enclosure should allow access to either drive with one USB cable. Great idea, poor implementation.
XFX Mercury RX 9070 XT The best DX 12 Ultra Video card ever

Pros: Glad I have this card. Plays all video games I have thrown at it at over 100 FPS. Division, BF, Diablo, Borderlands 4, and more. This is installed in my DIY build: Corsair iCUE Link 5000T case with all iCUE lighting and CPU cooler, 64 BG memory, Asus X870 plus wifi MB, Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU. XFX provides excellent customer service, for some reason my card did not come with or I accidently tossed the ARGB sync cable. I opened a support ticket while registering product and they just sent me a replacement, for free. How cool is that!! I suggest you get the fastest biggest 4K 3840 x 2160 resolution monitor you can afford. It would be a waste to run this card on a 60 Mhz monitor.
Cons: The card is HUGE. Length 360mm or 14.17 inches and 3 slots wide. Make sure your case will fit it.
Overall Review: If this card is too big for your case or too pricey for you the RX 7800 is a good choice! I am so happy to have this video card in my PC.
Works like a champ

Pros: First use was to create a windows 11 system image from an M2 C: to D: on this device. Now I have this to examine those old SSD SATA and M2 drives without opening the PC case. Works on spin SATA drives as well. Also used to clone a 512GB M2 to a 2TB M2.
Cons: It has a wall wort. I was hopeful it would get all the power it needs from the USB C connection.
Overall Review: Must have gear.
Every PC in the office connects wireless!

Pros: Work horse printer. Zero complaints.
Cons: No color printing
Overall Review: Definitely would buy another
