great cheap board

Pros: great layout, DDR2 support, Geforce 6100, north & southbridge setup, software jumpers, great manual and great software. For a cheap no-thrills rocksolid motherboard this one is great. Absolutely no install problems, runs great, and does a better than expected job with games. I love software jumpers. u Rig = Athlon 64 3200+, Crucial Ballistix DDRII 800MHz, Seagate 160Gb HD, Plextor 750 burner, Sony DVD player, YE-data 7 in l (basic rig for a friend)
Cons: none so far.
Overall Review: I had the Asus board that is consistently DOA (ASUS M2NPV-VM). Glad I returned it and got this board.
install issues

Pros: media center edition, OEM, and I thought it would be my ticket to vista
Cons: install was terrible on all brand new hardware (AM2 motherboard, AMD 4200 +X2, etc.) It comes as 2 disks and didn't recognize jack squat...Uninstalled it and put in my master copy of WINXP PRO.
Overall Review: Not sure why I bothered with this, I have an old copy of WINXP PRO SP1 and it installed great (just takes longer to download updates)
excellent PS

Pros: quiet, modular cabling, well built. And above all else - stable. No issues with this unit.
Cons: The cable ends on mine were a bit hard to put in because the pins were a little bent right out of the box, so pushing them into the PS was hard. Minor inconvenience.
unstable and fried

Pros: looks great and green LED fan is cool.
Cons: have to agree with post that indicated their ps was unstable. had the same instability and then it finally fried! Electrical death and when it gave up the ghost it popped a house breaker too (with a major surge protector in between!). I wasn't even pushing its limits: 1 HD, 1 DVD burner, Geforce 8800GTS, and Core 2 DUO e6600 with 2 GB of DDR2.
Overall Review: Don't waste your time on this PS. Enermax PS is the way to go
great memory

Pros: I bought a GIGABYTE GA-M51GM-S2G MB also and had zero problems with this ram. It worked great for me and so does the motherboard. WinXP, AM2 AMD 3200 64, etc.
Cons: none
Overall Review: ASUS M2NPV-VM Socket AM2 MB is worthless don't buy it
Great burner

Pros: quiet, rock-solid performance, runs great with nero 7.0. Have been using plextor burners for 6 years now and have only had 1 DOA burner (lots of coasters). They are quiet and rocksolid. So what if they are a little more expensive than other brands? I stick with what works and Plextor burners work.
Cons: none so far.
