Amazing for the price.
Pros: Matches my Apevia ones, reason for buying was needed it two replace cpu heat sink fan and the apevia's didn't have the connectors. Love the braided cord, I will be buying more from this company.
Cons: really can't think of any.
Overall Review: If your wondering its the same green as all the others. I have cooler master 120, apeiva 80's and this one matches them.
Louder than expected, considering the name of the product
Pros: Green Leds, Moves air.
Cons: Louder than my all 5 of my other fans combined. Used to have a silent PC, this fan took that away from me :(
Overall Review: Will replace eventually, honestly not that big of a deal to me personally, but considering the name of the product is silent operation, you expect that.
I understand what the Hype(r) is about now.
Pros: * Price for Performance * Easy Installation * Can be Modded with Fans of your choosing.
Cons: *Size *Have to take Motherboard out * There's a new model coming out in a few days
Overall Review: Raidmax Smillodon: This does fit with the raidmax smilodon. If you have the side fan on exhaust the copper pipes actually prevent the fan from spinning, if you have it on intake that little bit of recession allows it to work, thats how cramped the cooler is with the fan on. I just looked and the copper pipe is touching the fan side. Cooling Story: Processor (Phenom X2 550) With my AM3 Asus board I was able to use an old Athlon 64 Stock heat sink and Unlock the extra cores and OC to 3.6 and it would idle around 35c With my new AM3+ Board any overclocking would cause temps to go to 40 to 45 and under load cause BSOD, so I bought a hyper 101 (the 80mm version of the 212) It brought my temps down to about 37c but couldn't OC much it would get too hot. With this cooler OC"D to 3.6 and unlocked Im between 27-30c idle and 40-45 under heavy load. I can't wait to get a new Bulldozer chip and do some over clocking!
Great bang for "teh" Buck!
Pros: I wanted something smaller than the 212 and that could be easily modded. Put green 80mm fans to go with my 5 other green fans, couldn't be happier. It dropped my temps 06c compared the the stock cooler on a phenom x2 550.
Cons: wish it was a little easier to install, Its by no means hard, just not exactly straightforward for people used to stock setups.
Overall Review: Want something that's smaller and easily modded, that does a great job over the stock setup. Look no further.
Can't wait for bulldozer.
Pros: Decently priced for the amount of features provided.
Cons: I transferred over my X2 550, which on my previous Asus board, would unlock to an x4 and OC to 3.6 on the stock cooler and not hit about 40c under load. On this board just unlocking the extra cores causes it to go past 50c and freezes the PC. It took my along time to figure out why the computer was freezing, kinda frustrating. I've since been able to to OC the X2 to 3.8 and it stays under 40c, but no X4 for me. Since bulldozer is out in a few weeks, I'm not really concerned.
Overall Review: Cooling it with the cooler master hyper 101 in a push pull setup.
Reviews don't lie.
Pros: Great price.
Cons: none.
Overall Review: Using with AMD phenom X4 and Asus mobo.
