Not a bad deal for 'refurbished'

Pros: -on opening the product was shrink wrapped and looked in great condition bar a few scratches. On interior inspection the case was really good, Cleaned up except for some dust bunnies on the cooling fans. -after setup and startup I was expecting issues but I've been pleasntl;y surprised. Fast and useability is 10/10 but we'll how long that lasts in the future. -keyboard and mouse inlcuded were both from 'imicro' in the cheap range. useable and well built but on the cheap end. -in packaging the refurbishers added some protective oil, kind of reminded me of cosmoline which made me giggle alittle. I'm a firearms armchair historian and that chemical smell is very distinctive.
Cons: - On first startup was a very aggravating setup. The bios would not kick on and I was left with a blank screen for nearly 10 minutes and rebooted 2 more times thinking it was broken but was going through win 10 system setup but wouldn't show up until much later and no prompting. I have no dedicated computer screen but a flat screen tv and went out and searched/bought a pc display from a pawn shop which I returned with a bit of frustration because it was a waste of time. - the packaging was great but if I were 'Joy systems' I would blow out the devices one more time after testing instead of first being appropriated. A minor but definite con that is an easy fix, or maybe my machine was forgotten after testing.
Overall Review: I waited a week before writing this incase the other shoe or whatever footware would drop and I'd have to ship this back in. Like buying used items you have to gird for unexpected And Expected consequences and I think I lucked out. This refurb was done by a company called 'Joy Systems' and they did a decent job insofar as Packaging, Cleaning, and user instructions which were a few pages printed and the windows os registry key. I may purchase from them again in the future, especially if they are listed on the buy screen like they should have been in the first place but that's Newegg's fault not there's.
