Great way to offload video
Pros: Works right off the bat. Easy to hook up and use. I'm buying 1-2 1TB drives a month to offload and consolidate DV and HDV video. USB to SATA adaptors are nice, but slow, uncooled, and lay exposed on my desktop, so this is a welcome change in my workflow.
Cons: Plastic seems a bit thin, but it makes this handy little device cheaper, so just need to be careful. There's nothing that feels like it will just "break", and the whole unit feels tight and solid when the hard drive is in there.
Overall Review: Geeks-dot-com has extra/replacement shells (BLK-SNT-125-TRAY&cat=HDD). Hopefully, the Egg will consider stocking them themselves (Since they ship faster to my house. :) )
Some swapping pointers

Overall Review: Just wanted to add to my previous review (don't know how to edit original) I am not able to hot-swap, but this procedure works, rather than having to reboot computer: 1) Make sure write-behind caching is turned off for hard drive 2) Turn off unit and remove drive 3) Insert new drive, turn on unit 4) Go to "Add New Hardware", and let it search for new hardware. At this point, the new hard drive shows up for me. A little tedious, but still easier than cracking open the case. I'm buying my second unit now. :)
