Solid for Freenas
Pros: Outstanding performance, running Plex with no issues streaming to mobile, home at the same time. I've managed about 6 connections at once with no slowdown (direct stream on at least 3 of em).
Cons: IKVM was wonky at first but you get use to it. The heat from this little 8 core beast is a bit more than I thought. Looking to put a small fan on it for peace of mind.
Gets crazy hot
Pros: About what I expected. Small portable storage, reasonably priced
Cons: This thing gets hot. I'm tempted to make a video showcasing this thing melting through a stick of butter after being used.
Overall Review: Unable to get this to work with my server for Freenas on my 3.0 or 2.0 ports. I'll just stick with the old 2.0 usb drives for now.
I would let board take me to prom
Pros: Not a beta board (looking at you Ryzen). Memory OC worked out the box, CPU OC couldn't have been easyer.
Cons: Odd quirk with Gskill trident Z RGB make lighting control ignore your ram if not in slots A1/B1
Overall Review: After fighting with my Ryzen ASUS board for months I gave up and jumped ship to intel. Never looking back at ASUS. This was a fire and forget no trouble board.
Had some issues but worked through them
Pros: Kit is easy as heck to settup. First loop here. Cooling for a 1080 and 7700k (delided) was great. CPU understress ~58c GPU under stress 40c
Cons: My particular block had issues touching my GPU (98c eww). After some vigorous support through discord I installed a few more washers to force the card closer to the block. After adding 3 paper washers (in every cheap screwdriver set), temps are 40c under load. BIG thumbs up to Igor, Miguel and all the wonderful people in EKWB discord.
Overall Review: The inwin 303 will have some clearance issues if you mount the radiator on the front. Consider angled fittings once they become available.
4Ghz OC ! Great so far
Pros: Great bang for buck. I do a ton of video transcoding and this thing destroys my old 4790k in that realm. Gaming is acceptable, no complaints at 4Ghz.
Cons: The included fan will rip this chip out of the board! After setting my system for a pre-install check I wanted to remove the stock cooler and replace it with my AIO. I should have wiggled more and managed to pull the chip out with the cooler. All was fine when I put the chip back in and re applied the leaver. Was still a shock, that stock thermal compound is strong.
Overall Review: Don't waist money on the 1700x or 1800x this will hit 4Ghz just fine Small update: choose your board carefully. Chip seems ok but that ASUS Hero was an issue.
Slow and unresponsive
I ordered a fairly simple and small adapter for $10. I'm a very patient person and this item really isn't that important but waiting nearly a month for shipping seems absurd (2 days short at the moment), especially with no tracking. To make matters worse, I contacted Face to face a week ago and have had no response. All I wanted was an accurate tracking number, I've tried the one they gave me on DHL, USPS, UPS, FEDEX, 17track, yunexpress with none of them recognizing it. Ordered 1/3/2016 Email saying it Shipped 1/5/2016 Contacted about shipping 1/25/2016 Still haven't received it as of 1/31/2016 Will update with new information when it arrives. At the moment, this seller is on my personal blacklist.
