So far, so good
Pros: More memory access. Better program loads, faster boot and shutdown, I use this with Cubase, Wavelab and Ozone3. They all work fine. Good step for 64-bit computing.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Make sure you are ready before you purchase. Do the research on hardware/software before you leap. Most negative comments are based on issues that could have been prevented with research.
Memory Fails - Beware
Pros: Free, One stick works enough to post
Cons: The memory doesn't automatically boot. One stick is bad, the other posts but automatically sets to 1.6 volts. Setting it per the spec results in a failure to post. Reading the other reviews, it appears that even RMA'ing doesn't help. Will contact Crucial as it says it should work. Even free, it is not a bargain.
Overall Review: If you get the combo deal, might as well buy memory anyway. this one will not work. would rate zero eggs if it existed.
Works well
Pros: Lowered temps by 15c at max load
Cons: None
Solid
Pros: Easy setup
Cons: None
Overall Review: Tried on two different 450 boards, works on one and not the other. I think it is the one motherboard that is the hold up. Stress test and benchmarks are good.
Easy build
Overall Review: Works great, no issues.
Great basic board
Pros: Compact straight forward setup
Overall Review: Cant get it to post above 2933 memory speed. Tried two different sticks, one verified to work on this chipset at 3200.
