Great Budget Gaming Laptop
Pros: Great Graphics Card for the Price, Overclockable GPU and CPU, Best Budget Gaming Laptop you will find, Good Build Quality. The system came with 1x 4gb stick of RAM, which made upgrading to 8gb easy. The clips on the RAM compartment can be a bit troublesome, but a bit of careful lifting will get it open. I'm currently running SW:TOR on high graphics preset with bloom disabled and it's quite playable... If I step the settings down to medium, it's absolutely flawless. I haven't overclocked the system myself, but I've read some forum posts on how the system can easily OC to 2.3ghz and higher. GPU is also OC'able via MSI afterburner and disabling ULPS.
Cons: System did not come with any restore disks or a functional restore partition. The screen is fairly meh (Blacks are noisy grays), but at this price point, can you complain? The DVD drive tray is held on with small plastic clips which come undone fairly easily. Also, the trackpad works fine, but the buttons themselves are quite loud when clicking. This isn't an issue if you primarily use the trackpad itself to tap or if you use a mouse, such as myself. The system can get quite hot when gaming, but that is to be expected... nothing a cooling pad or simply playing with it on a desk or table can't fix. Crossfire setup does cause a fair amount of stuttering in non DX11 games. I have it disabled currently. I haven't used, nor do I plan to use, the webcam, but I have heard nothing but bad things about the picture quality.
Overall Review: I was considering purchasing this or a full-blown gaming laptop, such as a CLEVO or FORCE, but eventually decided to go for this for the short-term and see how it worked out... So far, it is performing extremely well and I am very happy with the purchase.
