Great device and less expensive than competing eGPU enclosures.

Pros: If you have a power supply sitting around it's a no-brainer. Pop it in, put in your GPU and you are up and running. It has several external input/outputs, whereas the Razer eGPU enclosure has none. The Sonnet 850 has plenty of external inputs/outputs at a higher price point.
Cons: This is not the fault of the device, it is a problem with HP laptops. Even though they are true Thunderbolt 4, HP has configured their Omen laptops with dedicated GPUs in such as way that you cannot get an eGPU to work. (Neither the Sonnet nor the Peladn will work.) You need to do some research to make sure your computer (especially laptops) have been successfully used with eGPU devices.
Overall Review: I would recommend this product. Were it not for the HP-caused Thunderbolt problems, I would be using it right now. If you are OK with the "bare-bones" look, when compared to the Sonnet 850 or the Razer, this is the way to go.
Bad 4th Pin - DOA

Pros: The heat sink works well. This is all that kept my CPU from boiling when the fan/4-pin connector failed.
Cons: The 4 pin power connection is "iffy" at best. When the PC powers on, the fan spins up nicely. However, when the PC goes from POST to bios to Operating system, the fan quits and will not start up again. No motherboard settings or software interfaces (Speedfan, EasyTune) will get the fan to come back on. Had to RMA it as DOA.
Overall Review: Replacing it with a XIGMATEK HDT-S1283.
34" LG Mounted Perfectly!
I have stopped buying mounts from any other manufacturer. These folks get it. Clear instructions, in English, and all the parts you need. Prices way better than big Box stores too! I have another one holding up a 65" Sony XBR in the den.
