Design flaw
Pros: Light and decent battery life. Has a docking keyboard to convert to a laptop
Cons: Design flaw in charger: the device is very sensitive to voltage drop and would not charge when voltage drop is too much. This would happen if you use a poor quality charging cable or cable that is too long. The charging cable that comes with the unit is too short. Using a longer cable or extension results in voltage drop that would cause charging to stop. I am stuck with the quite rigid charging cable that comes with the unit.
Overall Review: The docking keyboard come with a battery but is using a charging the is very inefficient: the battery in the keyboard automatically drains to charge the tablet regardless of whether the unit is on. Charging battery to baggery is very inefficient. Pad on the keyboard is not multitouch. Some users have reported that they have problem charging the keyboard and tablet combo. This is due to higher current demand causing sufficient voltage loss in the cable to cause charging to stop. In a whole this could have been a good tablet, but the designer made some very bad choice when cutting corners with the power design for charging the unit or the combo, with the non multitouch pad
Taking down Lenovo reputation
Pros: Decent pricing - Beats the surface with regards to features and Windows supports.
Cons: Battery went poof after 3 months of ownership - would now only hold charge for 15 minutes - Looks like there is some serious design with the power system of this tablet. The power system is very picky on which Micro USB charging cable.
DOA
Pros: None
Cons: Dead on arrival - Cannot boot when a USB device is connected.
Defective in a little bit more a year
Pros: Cheap board
Cons: Start to have problem with booting from AM3 CPU - Athlon II 215. Looks like it cannot take the power demand from Athlon II even as time goes. Still is a problem with a new power supply. Latest BIOS did not fix issue either. I have to put back the old Sempron LE which works just fine, even with being slightly overclock.
