Fast Stable And Pretty

WINTEC FileMate 16GB Professional Class 10 Secure Digital SDHC Card - Retail
WINTEC FileMate 16GB Professional Class 10 Secure Digital SDHC Card - Retail

Pros: I usually don't rate or review SDHC cards, because if they work they work, if not... well you send them back. This one worked, and I LOVE it. I needed a faster media card than the Class 4 8 Gig that I had in my new Toshiba Thrive tablet. The class 4 was soooo slow in being recognized, and file transfers were tedious. This bad oscar is fast and stable. I was leary of getting this brand (never heard of them before), but the price was right, so I decided to give them a shot; I am glad that I did. It was 16.99 when I got it, but even at the 25 dollar price, it's a good deal.

Cons: I need a 32 Gig version now.

Overall Review: Used with the Toshiba Thrive 16 Gigabyte Tablet

SHARP Sidekick LX 2009 Unlocked GSM Smart Phone w/ Full QWERTY Keyboard / 3.2" Screen 3.2" Orchid
SHARP Sidekick LX 2009 Unlocked GSM Smart Phone w/ Full QWERTY Keyboard / 3.2" Screen 3.2" Orchid

Pros: Great Price, it works well with my T-Mobile account (I did test it).

Cons: Slow JAVA based phone. I purchased this for my son for XMAS, but his grades were so bad, I decided not to give it to him,(in hindsight, I should have, this phones slow clunky UI would had been perfect punishment for him).

Not the most Comfortable Chair - Ever.

Vitesse Gaming Office Chair with Carbon Fiber Design, High Back Racing Style Seat, Swivel, Lumbar Support and Headrest (Red)
Vitesse Gaming Office Chair with Carbon Fiber Design, High Back Racing Style Seat, Swivel, Lumbar Support and Headrest (Red)

Pros: Looks Nice

Cons: Needs more padding. Armrest are painful and uncomfortable Instructions were vague

Overall Review: I bought this chair over 10 months ago. I finally put it together last night. The instructions were vague, and certain aspects of the design were just "off". Why couldn't they have at least bolted on the bottom plate? This is the most uncomforable chair I have ever owned. I am not an heavy man (I am about 160 lbs), but the chair squeaks and moans like I am 250 lbs. The armrest are torture, I am in the market to find "armrest cushions" for this monstrosity. It also needs a bottom cushion, since this thing feels like a kleenex on a pine board.

First Impressions - They Do Make a Difference

Pros: Price (Even though it dropped $10 the day after I bought it). This is just another Clevo Clone. It has the same chassis and Motherboard as my Gigabyte G5. I needed an upgrade, but I didn't want to spend over $1000 for a new laptop. Besides my G5 was still doing fine, since the most demanding game I play is Fallout 4. I got my G5 two years ago, with an i5 11400H and a GTX 3050ti 4G. It was holding up fine, until Virtual Dj dropped the newest update, making my poor 3050ti obsolete. So, I purchased this. I did do some research, and most reviews favored the i7 over the i5, but in real world scenarios I believe that i5 was snappier opening web pages and doing simple single threaded activities. Gaming performance is a toss up. I do get less stutters with the 3060, but the FPS hasn't changed. That might be attributed to the game limiting it to 60 fps.

Cons: Laptop arrived as if it was a review unit. It had two accounts already set up, and one was password protected. The bottom chassis screws were loose as if someone had opened the device up. Nothing was missing internally, so I kinda blew that off. If the 512 GB SSD you get isn't big enough, and you plan to get another one to do a clean install of Windows, make sure you get that 4 gig driver folder off that restore partition. It will save you a world of hurt. I did not know that was there, so I went to the Hasee site to download the drivers. That was a no go. Luckily I didn't wipe the drive, because I found the drivers and utilities on the restore partition. One thing Hasee cheaped out on, was the wifi adapter. They provide you with a Wifi AC adapter, which is so 2016. I purchased a Wifi 6 adapter to replace it with.

Overall Review: In a pinch this seems to be a decent purchase. My first impressions are a mixed bag of regrets and "this is going to be awesome" feelings.

Good Performance and Great Feature Set

GIGABYTE G5 MD - 15.6" FHD IPS Anti-Glare 144Hz, Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU 4GB GDDR6, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD, Win10 Home, Gaming Laptop (G5 MD-51US121SH)
GIGABYTE G5 MD - 15.6" FHD IPS Anti-Glare 144Hz, Intel Core i5, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU 4GB GDDR6, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD, Win10 Home, Gaming Laptop (G5 MD-51US121SH)

Pros: Internet downloads are GREAT. Laptop overall speed is phenomenal. Great for Virtual Dj. Included RTX 3050 TI helps with the sound separation algorithm. RTX 3050 TI makes my games look great ! I play older titles like Fallout 4, Skyrim and Saints Row The Third, and the performance bump, and game fidelity just seems amazing to me.

Cons: UEFI screen is VERY basic. I contacted Gigabyte, and there will no further updates to the BIOS (as of 4/23/22). Software suite is really lacking, and the GUI seems to be rendered in Windows 3.1. Wished it had a fingerprint reader. Chassis built by Clevo, and uses their Insyde2 BIOS. Plastic case is a fingerprint magnet. Wished there was some HDD cloning Software.

Overall Review: My previous gaming laptop died without warning. I was rushed to get something comparable. My dead laptop was a ASUS FX505DT. I purchased my ASUS TUF gaming laptop back in 2020, and it was a GREAT deal. It had a Ryzen 5 3550H, with a GTX 1650. It did well in games and music/video production, but It had a major flaw, so I ran it overclocked to the hilt for two years. The day I thought it was time to change the thermal paste... it died. So I was rushed to find a replacement. I did some research, and the Gigabyte G5 MD kept popping up. The price was more than I was expecting to pay, but the feature set was far better than my previous ASUS. The ASUS allowed for a SATA SSD and a nVME SSD. The G5 allows for 2 nVME drives plus a SATA SSD. It also has a SD card reader. I do a lot of content creation, and I have a LOT of SD cards with media, which I could only use with a extra card reader on the old laptop. I took my old nVME drive and Sata SSD from the old laptop, and installed them in the G5. I also added another 1 TB nVME drive, for a total of 5 terabytes. The port selection was great. It has two USB 3.1 ports, and one USB 2.0 port and it has a USB Type C port, which I really needed, since I have a lot of USB type C external drives now.

If YOU want your kids to get leave your Dj Controller alone

ION AUDIO iCUE3 DISCOVER DJ USB Turntable Computer System
ION AUDIO iCUE3 DISCOVER DJ USB Turntable Computer System

Pros: Actually my kids bought me this 2 XMAS' ago. I thought they were "messing" with me, but this lil controller that could has come in handy. It's quick and easy to set up, and the platter feel is very "tactile". On one occassion, I had a gig, and this unit was an excellent backup, when my main controller was "out of commission". The software that is bundled with this is far more responsive (IMHO), than the $300 professional DJ software I use.

Cons: Great, if you want to teach your kids to DJ. Must get an external sound card (to cue second track).
