Pros: Very fast CPU!
Overall Review: Compared this @ stock(obviously) to my OC'd Q9550 @ 3.83GHz both using a GTX 480 with 3DMarkVantage.
Results was the P and GPU scores were very close however the CPU score was over 2000 points higher with the 2400!
A very impressive CPU.
Pros: Compared to what I was used to EXCELLENT!
Overall Review: Great colors and brightness. Easy to set up.
Pros: Excellent OC'n abilities. Has voltage adjustments for just about anything you could think of.
My PC was built specific purpose for MS FSX using one graphics card during play as this game does not like SLI or CFX, thus why my selection of 8800GTS 512. These GPUs are OC'd and play other games in SLI VERY well with this set-up.
However MS FSX does like all the CPU cores you can throw at it, thus my Q9550 CPU.
Plays MS FSX with almost all sliders at CUSTOM! I only have a 20" CRT monitor so 1280 X 1024 is about as good a resolution I can run and still be able to read anything.
OC'n knowledge is a must if you expect to have a stable PC. Lots of info on the internet regarding OC'n this M/BD.
I am not disappointed. It also does everything else very well too.
Cons: Some what picky on Ram. I'm currently using OCZ Plat. 2000 2 X 2G kit as it under clocks well.
My best OCs have been with my ram set at 1600 unlinked. Tried linked and syn'ed but wasn't nearly as stable.
YOU MUST SET RAM SPECS MANUALY AS WELL AS MOST OF ALL THE OTHER VOLTAGES FOR BEST PERFOMANCE AND STABILITY.
This is not meant as a plug and play M/BD though I don't really think thats a con.
Overall Review: My specs are as follows;
Q9550 2.83 stock currently @ 3.8 stable. NOTE: I could OC this CPU past 4 GH but wasn't stable and didn't want to use the time to get it stable. May be a ram problem here.
2 x 2 GB OCZ Plat. kit.
2 X 8800 GTS 512 BFG OC'd.
1 WD SATA 11 640 G HDD.
Vista Home Pre. 64 bit
PC Power and Cooling PSU 750W
Home built W/C except for CPU water block.
Vista rating is 5.9 with this PC, would probably be higher if such a number was available.
I know that Intel just released their new i7 CPU platform but I do not feel cheated by this PC at all. I think it will last me for some time to come.
Overall Review: Used for a business build. They are shocked at what they can do now comparaed to 500MH Intel. As they should be.
Pros: Works as advertised
Overall Review: First time using this brand of ram. Was not disappointed.
Pros: Works as advertised.
Cons: Loud during spin-up and loud once it gets there.
Overall Review: I probably would not buy this again because of the noise.
Pros: Very well thought out. Would buy again.
Overall Review: Good buy for the $$$.
Cons: Does not seem to be a reliable product. Bought in 05/'07 and this will be the second RMA to Biostar.
Overall Review: I build and repair PCs and will not use this particular M/BD again. Shipping is getting too expensive. This will be the LAST RMA for this product. If it comes back defective again I'll chaulk it up as experience and just get a better product.
Pros: Excellent ram. I've always had good luck with Corair. Currently using with Operton 148 OC @ 2.75 stable as a rock. I did lower the FSB of the ram so when CPU is OCd the ram is running at 201.
Overall Review: Really good ram. Can overclock, I just prefer not to.
Pros: Works as advertised. Very good perforance and looks nice as well, thou that doesn't matter to me. Installed a 320 IDE and works like a champ. Very happy with this product.
Overall Review: Great buy!!
Pros: Used this in a PC upgrade from a 754 platform. VERY happy customer!!! OC to 2.2G because of customer request. runs 27C idle. Excellent processor.
Overall Review: Very inexpensive for performance recieved. Highly recommend.
Pros: Used this card juat so the CPU and ram didn't have to use up resources for the onbd video. Does just that and will play most games any way. Low settings of course, but remember thats not what this card was bought for.
Overall Review: Its worth having an inexpensive grahics card if your not a gamer and are using a M/BD that has onbd graphics.
Pros: used this to upgrade a 754 platform. Works as advertisd and then some. Quite happy with this M/BD for what my customer is using his PC for. CPU AM2 3800+ OC to 2.2G, customer request. 1GKingson vaule ram works fine as well. Must lower clock of ram to OC CPU. Also set HTT X3 for stability. Installed inexpensive graphics card as he doesn't game. Using for video/music/web surfing.
Overall Review: Has all the features you would need for a stable PC with few if any PCI cards needed unless you have dail-up/
Pros: Installed with a PC upgrade. No problems and fast.
Overall Review: Good value and Newegg got it here in 2 days!!!
Pros: Plays most games VERY WELL! OCs well, thou you must be aware of higher temps and be preparaed to deal with them. Had 2 in SLI. Bought hoping to play FSX at higher tham 1024 X 768 resolution.
Cons: Not really a con because I was looking for performance with a spcific game. Will play it but at reduced settings and resolutions.
Overall Review: Have returned these and will purchase A 8800 GTX in hopes of being able to play FSX at higher settings. Specs-Opteron 148 @ 2.8, 2G XMS ram, 2 SATA HDDs in Raid 1. Will upgrade my CPU as well to better support the 8800.
Pros: Haven't made 1 coaster with this burner. Works good for me with the various media I've used.
Overall Review: Good buy!!
Pros: Was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this monitor. Don't use the speakers 'cause already have 5.1 set up so can't comment about them.
Overall Review: Actually looks good when gaming.
Pros: Excellent product. Does everything as advertised. Highly reccomend.
Overall Review: I don't think you can go wrong with this product.
Pros: Very stable platform. Not for OC'. Make sure you buy compatable ram that only uses 1.8v.
Cons: Picky ram.
Overall Review: Great for someone who wants a very stable PC.
Pros: Building for a small business and used Intel M/BD and CD2. Very good for someone who needs function over frills.
Overall Review: Will buy this again and highly reccomend. Experienced builders will definately appreciate.
Pros: I have used these drives for my personal use and in other PC builds. They do what there are supposed to do well. Good bang for the buck! Seems to burn whatever I put in there.
Overall Review: I have a customer who has burned more than 200 DVDs with this drive in about 6 months and its still going strong. Newegg gets it done!
Pros: Installed this as a upgrade from socket A paired with a Sempron 64 3000+. Everything works as it should and the onbd graphics are just fine for surfing the internet and watching DVDs. Did not get for a gameing PC although I have had good luck with these M/bds for that purpose.
Overall Review: Good bang for the buck. As usual Newegg is great!
Pros: Upgraded from 20G 5400rpm HDD to this for grandsons PC. He is a happy camper. Have always had good luck with WD.
Overall Review: Great upgrade HDD and as usual Newegg is great.
Pros: Plenty of power for surfing the internet, listening to music and watching DVDs. Does okay for the occasional DVD burn as well. Paired with Biostar 6100-M7 M/BD. Good bang for the buck!!!
Overall Review: Runs cool with stock HSF. Did not OC as this was for a customer who just needed some upgradability maybe in the future. As usual Newegg rocks!
