Patriot Rocks

Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC22G6400LLK
Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC22G6400LLK

Pros: I bought this memory to go with my EVGA 680i MB and E6600 proc and everything runs great at 4-4-4-12 timings with proc oc'ed to 3.2 GHz. Best bang for the buck memory in my opinion, gets the job done reliably without breaking the bank. Looks good too.

Cons: None.

It's OK.....I Guess

ViewSonic Graphic Series VG2230wm Black 22" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor Height & Tilt Adjustments 280 cd/m2 700:1 Built in Speakers
ViewSonic Graphic Series VG2230wm Black 22" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor Height & Tilt Adjustments 280 cd/m2 700:1 Built in Speakers

Pros: Clear crisp text for web viewing and word processing. Adjustable stand with swivel is nice feature. Widescreen is a cool feature for watching DVD's especially if your used to older 4:3 ratio CRT monitors.

Cons: After reading all the reviews, I decided to finally replace my 3 year old Viewsonic P225F-4 22" CRT with this LCD primarily for gaming and graphics work. In a way I guess I expected too much, my old Trinitron tubed CRT absolutely blows this thing away with color clarity, image quality and response times in games, and flexibility with different resolutions/refresh rates. Also mine came with 2 stuck pixels right dad in the middle of the screen. High end CRT's are superior for gaming and graphics, period.

Overall Review: In games it is hard to get a true black background due to the backlight bleed, you can try to adjust it out but it is very noticable and distracting. Also the "screen door" effect is noticable if your changing from a tight .22mm dot pitch CRT, as well as the viewing angle. You have to sit dead center and look at the LCD straight on or the color intensity with change dramatically.

Works Good

Ideazon Merc Stealth Illuminated Gaming Keyboard- ZXP-2000 Black USB Wired Ergonomics
Ideazon Merc Stealth Illuminated Gaming Keyboard- ZXP-2000 Black USB Wired Ergonomics

Pros: Solidly built, LED's not too bright, blue looks cool. ZEngine software is easy to use. Takes a few days to adjust different key layout but after that its much better than OEM keyboard. The angle and slope of the built-in keypad is perfect long gaming sessions.

Cons: Its a little pricey, but you get what you pay for in this instance.

Overall Review: Its not much longer than an OEM keyboard although the pictures make you think it would be.

I like it...I like it alot...

Creative SOUND BLASTER X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card
Creative SOUND BLASTER X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Pros: First off, I know there are alot of people that are down on this card due to alot of incompatibility issues and I feel their pain. I have owned about 12 different soundcards in my life starting with the original Soundblaster 2.0 in 1990 all the way through to the exceptional Audigy 2 ZS Platinum. I am running this card with an EVGA 680I MB and WinXP SP2 and have not had any showstopping problems other than a few playback issues in Windows MP9 that were codec related. When this card works to specs there is nothing that can touch it. Gaming with high end headphones like the Sennheiser HD280 and this soundcard are a religious experience, the Creative CMSS-3D technology works awesome and you will hear things in your games that you have never heard before. Any new cutting edge technology will have teething problems and this product is no exception, but trust me there is a definate sound improvement over the last generation Creative products.

Cons: None.

Awesome Heatsink....

ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler
ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler

Pros: I bought this to complement my E6600 Core 2 Duo CPU for some serious overclocking and it didn't let me down. I can't believe how efficient this design is at cooling, I have a friend using water cooling on the same CPU and he is only a couple of degrees lower than me on air cooling at the same speed. I am running my [email protected] stable and this badboy cools it to 26 Celsius at idle and 48 Celcius at full load, unbelievable.

Cons: He's a big boy, check your case clearances before ordering.

Overall Review: This is important, Don't over use your thermal paste. I recommend Artic Silver 5 and just put enough on your CPU to fill in the microscopic pits. Don't slather it on like there's no tomorrow, you will lose about 5-10 Degress Celsius of cooling with too much thermal paste applied. Trust me, I have went both routes and less is better.

Sweet Spot CPU

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6600
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.4 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6600

Pros: Best CPU bang for the buck, overclocked mine to a stable 3.1Ghz using EVGA 680i MB with Zalman 9700 Heatsink. I could have went higher but honestly didn't see any point to stress it to get a few more FPS. Idles at 25 Celsius. At 3.1Ghz and with 4Mb Cache it performs on par with the way more expensive X6800 at 1/3 the price, how can you go wrong with that? Paired with a EVGA 8800 GTX it pretty much slings around any DX9 game like a ragdoll, framerates are through the roof, especially games like Lock On: Modern Air Combat which is notorius for being CPU dependent (getting average of 60 FPS). Buy it now, overclock it and then grin.

Cons: OEM heatsink not ideal for serious overclocking.
