2 of them @ 2 years strong
Pros: It works, never had any problems with it at all. Ordered 2 and both are still trucking along just fine. Wanted to sleeve it, but still 1 year on the warranty. Good build quality. Still completely silent. Connectors are tough and still in great condition after being added and removed hundreds of times. Nice little storage bag. I would purchase more of these if the price is right.
Cons: Sleeving job is horrible, is it really better than none at all? Attached cables are fairly short, if bottom mounting in a full tower make sure you have 4/8 pin and 24 pin extentions on hand. Kinda pricey compared to some better offerings if you don't factor in the rebate. Not really a con, but the 8 pin and 4 pin cpu are separate wires, would've liked to seen a 4x4 split plug, but really its only 1 wire total that will need to be hidden, fits nicely between my psu and the mobo tray in a CM Cosmos, tuck it and forget it.
Overall Review: There is a lot of bad reviews on these for reasons that aren't the Psu itself. Modular or not isn't a pro or con. Read the description on things before you buy them. Rebates do not affect the performance of a product, buy expecting not to get it, and if it comes its a perk, don't bash the product because either the rebate center messed up or you didn't send it in time. FYI both my rebates came back, just took 3 months.
Prepare to modify if need be
Pros: Its allowed me to use an old CPNS9500 on a Gigabyte G31-ES2L & E3300. Was the old green fan nvidia version I lost the 775 hardware for (or did it not come with, oops). Cheap!
Cons: Not a perfect fit on said motherboard, not really Zalman's fault. Had to do lots of filing on one corner to get around a cap, and little bits of filing around other areas, but the plastic is thick enough its still plenty sturdy. Also because of caps around the socket the "L" clip had to be faced toward the memory slot, requiring it to be bent, ended up snapping it in two, but the clip is still plenty functional.
Overall Review: Its great they offer these so cheap, even if it has to be modified to fit. Sure saved a good chunk of money for a budget build on not having to buy a new HSF when theres one lying around! A few files, some cursing, some begging, and a little time turned out to breathe even more life out of a 4 year old cooler.
Pros: Fast , quiet , smooth operation. 5 year warranty Excellent price and performance per gb
Cons: Absolutely none!
Overall Review: Bought this to replace and old 320 gig wd blue that was starting to get quite loud. Speeds are slightly faster, but not anything mind boggling. Did a lot of research weighing this with a velociraptor paired with a 1tb green drive, and Im glad I decided on this instead. Soon a ssd's come down in price, this guy will be storage.
Great little player!
Pros: Plays well with rockbox, has great battery life, accepts micro sdhc cards. Why pay top dollar for some fruit when you can grab one of these baby's for so cheap!
Cons: absolutely none!
Overall Review: With this player rockboxed and a pair of meelectronics m11+ the sound is incredible, by far the best thing I have heard hands down, and the set was well under $100! If someone took this thing out of its plain white box and handed it to me, I would've never known it was refurbished. Also I wanted a player that could be rockboxed, so the warranty was not really a con as it was going to be voided regardless.
Pros: Very cheap Intel dual core CPU, it can do math waaay better than i can.
Cons: Heat sink and fan are total garbage. When if first pulled it from the box, my jaw dropped at the size of the heat sink. It is barely 3/4" thick, and very poorly machined, very rough surface where it meets CPU. Ran at 68c under full load, max stated on Intels site was 73.3c
Overall Review: Pulled the Junk HSF of and put on the one from the old 3.0ghz P4, over twice as tall with a copper core matched with Artic Silver dropped the load temps to 43-54c! It was ran in a hot room, but still the P4 cooler dpropped temps 15c to make it 12c warmer than room temp. in a 27c room the P4 HSF ran it at 40c full load
Awww its so cute!
Pros: Super small size, all metal construction, feels very durable. NO LED to indicate it has power, may be a con for some, but its a pro for me. Cheap and had free shipping.
Cons: Ball chain tether is fairly cheap, Would suggest replacing it. Would be easy to lose this thing.
Overall Review: This thing would be great for a permanent Readyboost solution, or Digital frame storage (hides behind the frame). Its is very tight in a lot of usb ports, after reveiws here I decided to stick it in every usb port i could find. While, yes, it is tight, its not so tight it will break anything. I like the snug fit, my 15 month old daughter...no so much lol.
