i5 goodness. but no O/C here.
Pros: Very nice upgrade from my old i5 760. The processor is very snappy and made a world of difference in my new system. Price paid for this unit $229.99. time of this review a week and a half later $219.99 BUY NOW!
Cons: I simply do not like the way intel designed the way the fan is attached to the mobo PCB I have ran into trouble on my old 1156 board that used the same system. after a couple of years do not try and remove it and replace it as the plastic spreaders will break due to thermal degradation. Best to get a bolt through kind in my opinion.
Overall Review: I really wanted the i7 6800K but, none were available. I then tried to get a i5 6600K but in the time i was shopping and added it to the cart they were sold out. So, being ruled by instant gratification, I chose this CPU. I paired it with a ASUS RoG Maximus VIII Ranger board, (yes i know its useless at this point for O/C) with plans to get the i7 K model when it becomes avail next year. Word to intel, Please do a better job of having enough product avail. for your sellers to procure!!
No problems at all
Pros: Really nice design of the power box, Mine looked completely new. It's very quiet, and works very well. I had all the cables in the box it was supposed to and all the Pins were fine. (looked like new cables were supplied or they replaced them) No problems here. Glad I saved the money and bought this one.
Cons: The only 2 Cons I have #1 Some of the ports on the modular plugs were not labeled, but its not a really big problem, I just called it up on the Pic of one on the web. #2 The SATA power cables and 6 way Aux cables while very generous in length really made my build ugly, as they were all one length, and stowing the extra cord was a problem visually. (This may be due to my case type... Mid ATX Raidmax Cobra.) I will have to purchase some shorter cables as it looks like the underside of my PC desk..... I have a case with a window.... I wished it would have included a short cable selection also.
Overall Review: After reading all the mixed reviews, I took out the extra 1 yr warranty... just in case. Just remember, if you buy Refurbished items, cover yourself. Just for the peace of mind.
i was surprised!!
Pros: great fit great sound easy to charge wireless charging case/USB-C port
Cons: a little trouble pairing to apple but was easily resolved. only avail in one color as refurb... (no big deal, but I wanted red)
Overall Review: for the price, its an Excellent buy. most "Refurbs" are just returns. I see no way these could be serviced if broken or defective. Yes I will buy these again if needed.
Yeah, It's great!
Pros: Price was good for me! Setup and install on MAG Tomahawk was a snap Wraith cooler is fine for stock use and probably light O/C settings. Looks great with RGB
Cons: Have to download Cooler Master's Software to make the Wraith Prism cooler change R/G/B modes. (if you want 3 part color control.)
Overall Review: Yes I will purchase this product again, and yes I would recommend it to others. I went a little overboard, but wanted 8 cores. The 3600X/T would have been good as well, but what the hell, after 5 years I think I am allowed to splurge! One note about the cooler: It does not interface natively with MSI's Dragon center (see below.) Must download the software from the manuf. (Cooler Master) to allow control of the Logo color, Ring, and fan independently. There are 2 small plug ins on the "fan shroud." THESE are covered with some small square rubber plugs. One is a 3 wire connector. This plugs into an avail USB_1, _2, _x, etc. header. for the cooler master software to work. There is another small plug that you can plug into he RGB header in the mobo. This will allow the mobo to control the color(s) but only the fan. So far I am happy with my purchase!
It's "O.K."
Pros: Side power buttons Magnetic air filters. mobo fits nicely (ATX) Plenty of cooling options.
Cons: Power supply installation is a nightmare NO access to the Mains external switch unless you remove the case side. See photo of the red line showing power cable route! uggh
Overall Review: I got this case strictly for the side power buttons as I have my PCs turned so i can easily access the rear USBs The worst thing is how the power supply is to be set up. the 90 degree power link cable was turned all opposite of the way it needed to be (it's a 50/50 shot the P/S will be the main culprit.) All in all its good for what I wanted but was just peeved about the way the power supply is mounted and limited options there. I wished they would have included an external mains switch on the back of the case. The metal is a little thin and flexy. I will not buy this one again.
Nice solid P/S, very quiet.
Pros: Modular cables clearly marked. many different mounting options Nice little canvas bag with Velcro to keep the spare cables in!
Cons: does not come with an 8+4 CPU_1 CPU_2 cable Must buy an adaptor if you plan on major overclocking. Which I do not plan on doing (yet.) I just do not like open sockets on my mobo.
Overall Review: Very nice P/S has some weight to it and a large cooling fan (not pictured) External Mains power switch as well. so far its very quiet and is working great!
