Comments: It's a really fast hd. I was surprised how fast windows loaded when I switched to it. My only gripe is this is an ide hd and I didn't pay attention when I was buying it so now I have the ide version instead of the sata version. The speed's the same, but no raid. It just means I have to get two hds for raid and transfer everything over when I do. No biggie. The 16mb cache is what really makes this stand apart from the competition.

Pros: This drive is much faster than the 4200rpm drive it replaced. Bootup was twice as fast and programs loaded much quicker.
Cons: Although it wasn't very loud, it was noticeably louder than the old hdd.

Pros: There was a noticeable difference between this card and the integrated audio on the motherboard. It went very well with Logitech Z-5300e 5.1 speakers.
Cons: none
great

Comments: I brought this to replace a Athlon 64 3200+. Since the clock speed is the same, it doesn't really make programs any faster, but I have MCE 2005 and I have to encode everything from dvr-ms to divx so with this cpu, I can now do that while actually using my computer for other things. It's definitely a lot more responsive during video encoding. It shipped in two days, which surprised me since I opted for the cheapest shipping.
great value

Comments: This is definitely faster than the p4 in my old system. It's the first time I'm using an AMD cpu, and that integrated memory controller really does help. I haven't tried overclocking it yet since I'm still using the stock hs and fan, but it runs really cool. The cool-and-quiet feature is great compared to the loud p4 I had before. I'm still waiting for the price of the athlon x2's to fall, so this cpu's supposed to tide me over until then. So far, so good. Maybe I'll get some Arctic Sliver 5 and a Zalman hs and overclock this. But then again, I don't really want to risk damaging my memory (I had some memory problems on my old comp and it was a real pain to have to get new pc2100 when pc3200 cost the same). Then again, the corsair xms is designed to overclock. Overall, for around $xxx, this is a great value processor.
great value

Comments: I ordered this for a new system, and it's a great value. It's under two hundred dollars yet it's much faster than ati's x700 pro. It's definitely faster than the aiw 9600xt I had in my old comp. Too bad xxxxxx doesn't have something comporable to aiw for it's midline cards. I'm glad I got this instead of spending more for an x800xl since the 7800gtx's just came out. Once the price is right, I'm springing for one of those. In the meanwhile, this card'll tide me over. It can't run half life 2 at 1280*1024 with 4x aa, but it still gives decent framerates at 1024*768 and 1280*1024. Sure beats the 9600xt.
