Buy Now....It may not be around much longer

Pros: Two months ago I was on the fence between the T220HD and the T240HD. Newegg offered free shipping and a good price on the T220HD so I bought it…and I am HAPPY. Then, about 2 weeks later, they reduced the price and offered free shipping on the T240HD. I was so happy with the T220HD that I purchased the larger unit for our other computer system. I can not say enough about the brightness and contrast. I am a long-time and firm believer in CRT’s as I often change resolution from CAD projects to normal MS-Office apps, and also watch TV and DVD’s. The first thing I noticed is that when watching a DVD, the image was not dark. as it had been on my CRT (a high-end CAD unit). The Bonus is the extra inputs! I now have my wii attached and also can watch TV without going through the computer!
Cons: As with all LCD’s, there is a native resolution (in this case 1920x1200) and if you do not use this resolution, some text can appear out-of-focus. The good news is that this monitor is so big, that it is not a huge issue (I now run on 1920x1200 for all apps, although sometimes text is small)
Overall Review: I read many reviews before purchase and have the following comments: 1) I initially agreed that the base was not as stable as I would like, but then I learned I made a mistake in set-up. When my T240HD arrived, I started to assemble it just as I had the T220HD, then I noticed a locking screw in the base. I checked this against my T220HD and noticed the same locking screw that I had not secured. Once I secured the locking screw, both monitors were/are rock-solid on there mounts. 2) The other complaint I noticed (low egg review) is people trying to mount this unit on a wall. In my opinion, this is not a valid complaint. This product was designed as a computer monitor (with the addition of a TV tuner), not a TV that can be used as a monitor! If you compare the resolution of the two units I purchased to any LCD TV, you will find that it is MUCH higher in this size range. I completely understand people buying this unit as an LCD-TV as the price and specs are well beyond what you ca
Love Yamaha, but not this one.

Pros: Has many HDMI inputs
Cons: HDMI's on unit I received did not work correctly
View Great, Audio BAD

Pros: Video is very good and replaced older units
Cons: Audio is so sub-standard, these monitors should not be listed as "with speakers"
Overall Review: Purchased two units for work. Intentionally looked for monitors with speakers to allow employees sounds, but not excess cables or too much/loud sound. The sound at max volume at all settings would not wake a sleeping baby. I will keep monitors b/c too difficult to return, but sound is VERY SUB-PAR. View is good I give two eggs because it meets it primary purpose as a display very well. If it had basic TV sound I would give full eggs, but that is not the case with this model (we have two of them now and I will here complaints from workers)
Sniper

Pros: Super quick upgrade to my older "socket 775, e8400" with ZERO sound emissions. This unit replaced my aging SCSI U160 - 15K drives and just absolutely kills them in performance.
Cons: NONE
Overall Review: I was lucky enough to purchase this drive before all the weather issues in SE Asia. I've been building/using high end PC's for more than 15yrs with focus on performance, value, and quiet operation.....SSD is the best upgrade I have ever witnessed.
D-Link DIR-655

Pros: Need better access in basement/lower level than previous router. This unit allowed "N" for longer range, but also improved my "G" range/signal.
Cons: none so far
Overall Review: I looked at units with internal antennas, ….and it maybe old school thinking….but I do have a better signal with external and/or multiple antennas. Not fact-based, but I also fly R/C aircraft and the same principles apply…multiple antennas with different orientations = better signal. Price for product and G/N support sold me before I set-up the unit....which was super simple.
T220HD

Pros: I was a CRT man, but this unit caught my eye. The contrast is much better than my CRT (22" CAD unit) and the colors are vivid. The unit is also quite nice and light compared to my 70+lb unit that used so much space, I had to pull my desk back from the wall. Other pros and reason for purchase: Aux inputs! It has 2 HDMI's and another component input (I can play my Wii!)
Cons: LCD's now have good refresh rates, but I still must be in "native" resolution for best clarity.
Overall Review: I liked this unit so much that I purchased a T240HD when the price dropped and free shipping was offered. Comparing the two, I think the T220HD has a better picture, but the extra 2" area on my T240HD is enough to make it "almost too big" on my desk. Low egg review comments: 1) yes the speakers are not great (use your computer speakers) 2) People complain that it does not VESA wall-mount......Its a computer monitor first, not a TV!...But it is a good TV choice. 3) I researched a LOT before purchase and many complained about the non wall-mount, but also the stand. When I first set the stand, I agreed....but when I purchased my second unit, I noticed that I did not lock the base stand screw/lock. Now it is solid!
