A great buy

Acer Desktop PC AM3910-UR30P (PT.SDXP2.001) Intel Core i3-540 2GB DDR3 500GB HDD Intel HD Graphics Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Acer Desktop PC AM3910-UR30P (PT.SDXP2.001) Intel Core i3-540 2GB DDR3 500GB HDD Intel HD Graphics Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

Pros: - Very Quiet, can barely hear it running - Processor is SUPER FAST - Case is well made - Only a little bit of bloatware - Keyboard it came with is actually nice; has larger than average buttons making it easier to type -Many many well placed USB slots

Cons: - PCI slot covers are a hassle to remove, you need to bend them until they break from the welding. It isn't too difficult though.

Overall Review: I popped my Powercolor Radeon HD 5570 (also bought from this site) into this computer and it plays Star Wars: The Old Republic like a dream. It's such a large upgrade over my last computer from 2005 that I really have nothing bad to say about it. I suggest buying another 2GB of ram for $10 so that you can get the most out of Windows 7.

Most Critical Review

Very good gaming performance with some unfortunate flaws

Eluktronics W650KK1 Gaming Laptop - Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual Core Desktop CPU Windows 10 Home 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 15.6” Full HD IPS Display 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive 8GB DDR4 RAM
Eluktronics W650KK1 Gaming Laptop - Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual Core Desktop CPU Windows 10 Home 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 15.6” Full HD IPS Display 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive 8GB DDR4 RAM

Pros: - The GPU is incredibly fast. Most hardcore gamers will say you should spring for a 470 or 1060, but so far this little machine has managed to play everything I've thrown at it at a smooth framerate. NBA 2K17, which ran at around 28 FPS on low settings on my old laptop's 670MX, runs on max settings at 60 FPS. - CPU is faster than my old laptop's Core i7 3630QM, despite having fewer cores. - Overall performance is really good. - The cooling solution on the laptop seems to be effective so far. The sides and underside of the machine can get hot, but the keyboard and areas around the touchpad stay cool.

Cons: - My laptop arrived with a single stuck pixel that is located on the lower-mid-left portion of the screen. It is usually imperceptible except on darker backgrounds. The pixel will either appear white or dark blue; but it unfortunately will not change to any other color. I am hoping this solves itself in time, as is what tends to happen with stuck pixels, though if it gets worse I may ask for a replacement. Otherwise, the screen is vibrant and of high quality. - The keyboard is of pretty low quality; it actually feels worse than the keyboard on my $200 ASUS chromebook, and much worse than what was on my old ASUS gaming laptop. The keys, especially the longer more rectangular ones, sometimes won't respond unless you hit them precisely in the middle. The touchpad is also suspect, but that won't be an issue for most since most gamers use a mouse anyways. - Some quirks with the software. The soundblaster cinema software that comes with the laptop, for instance, is a bit weird and usually stuff sounds better with it disabled.

Overall Review: I bought this laptop on sale when it was $699. For that price I would still very much recommend it, because pre-made desktops with these specs are also around $699, but are obviously nowhere near as portable. At the current price I'd say look for something else, as I feel like you can get a better quality keyboard and better quality control from other companies with ~$900 options on Newegg. That being said, I do know that Eluktronics has a great track record for quality and customer service, so the fact that my laptop came with a stuck pixel and slightly unresponsive keys may have been a fluke.

What a steal

ASUS ROG G75VX 17.3" Gaming Notebook with Intel Core i7-3630QM 2.40Ghz (3.40Ghz Turbo), 8GB DDR3 Memory, 1TB HDD, Nvidia GeForce GTX 670MX , DVDRW, HD Webcam, Bluetooth 4.0, Windows 8

Pros: Incredibly fast. Faster than my desktop from late 2011. Top of the line graphics chip and cpu. Very nice design, built like a tank. Great cooling system. Fantastic spacious backlit keyboard.

Cons: Nothing that I can comment on yet. Perhaps it may be a bit too heavy and bulky for some people. It is close to 10 pounds but then again you get the extra fan cooling that comes with that.

Overall Review: I'll be honest, I've had this thing for less than 5 hours. But for $900, this was a steal. It may be "refurbished" but it looks brand spanking new and performs as well as any other new computer I've owned. I initially had my heart set on the Lenovo Y510P or the MSI GE60, and saw this laptop at the last minute right before I was about to purchase one of those. The Geforce 670MX is equivalent or better compared to the graphics chips in those laptops, and while the CPU is an Ivy Bridge and not a Haswell, it performs just as well (look up the benchmarks). So basically you are getting a laptop that is as powerful and as well made as the MSI laptops, but for $300-$400 less. I can't wait to use this thing over the coming months and years. Final note: this laptop's exterior is black, not gray like in the product image newegg is displaying.

So Far So Good!

HIS iCooler Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Video Card H775F1GD
HIS iCooler Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Video Card H775F1GD

Pros: - Same size as the Radeon 5570 card I upgraded from - Very Quiet - Runs The Witcher 2, Crysis, and Saints Row 3 on high to max settings at 30-60+fps at 1440 x 900 resolution. - The build quality of the fan is awesome. Much better than the one on my 5570. - No additional power necessary

Cons: It was hard to get the thing out of the packaging, the HIS box is built like a safe! But I guess that's a good thing in reality.

Overall Review: Almost broke my PCI-E slot when installing this card because the inside of my tower is awkwardly designed, making it difficult to install video cards. Luckily I got it to go in just right after some finagling. Really impressed at its performance. I couldn't even run The Witcher 2 before, now it just flies. It's amazing how far technology has come. Just five years ago a card like the Geforce 8800 Ultra was the best around, and not only did it cost a grand, but it ate up your electric bill too. Today, we have this little ol' 7750 putting out better performance than that behemoth could ever hope to imagine, and without needing an extra power connector! And in case you are wondering, the 7750 is about equal to the 4870, 5770, and 6770 in overall performance. Can't wait to test out something like Guild Wars 2 with this...

Great Card

PowerColor Radeon HD 5570 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Video Card AX5570 1GBD3-H
PowerColor Radeon HD 5570 1GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 Video Card AX5570 1GBD3-H

Pros: - Fast - Cheap - About equivalent to a Geforce 8800gs in performance - Low power cost - Runs on 300 watt PSU -At 1440 x 900/ 1600 x 1200/ 1280 x 700 resolutions you can expect great performance on nearly any game from the last few years and for a couple years to come.

Cons: - Loud during use (not really a con for me, I wear headphones)

Overall Review: Plays SWTOR on high except for shadows and AA at around 60fps in the world and 30fps in crowded areas at 1440 x 900 resolution. Upgraded from a reliable 8500GT that just became inefficient for newer games.

This is a five egg item!

Acer Desktop PC AM3910-UR30P (PT.SDXP2.001) Intel Core i3-540 2GB DDR3 500GB HDD Intel HD Graphics Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Acer Desktop PC AM3910-UR30P (PT.SDXP2.001) Intel Core i3-540 2GB DDR3 500GB HDD Intel HD Graphics Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

Pros: This is maddening, the last 4 one egg reviews are obviously by the exact same person. You can tell by their poor grammar. Also their last review is a joke, of course the computer has direct x on it. I can play many games on mine.

Cons: Nothing

Overall Review: This computer is not a 3 egg item, it is at least worth 4-5 eggs. The 1 egg reviews by the same inarticulate person are bringing it's rating down. This is a quality item for the price, you won't find a Core i3 in this price range unless you build a computer yourself.
