ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi II AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) Micro ATX Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, WiFi 6, ECC Memory, 1Gb LAN, HDMI 2.1/D-Sub, 4K@60HZ, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and Aura Sync)
ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi II AMD AM4 (3rd Gen Ryzen) Micro ATX Motherboard (PCIe 4.0, WiFi 6, ECC Memory, 1Gb LAN, HDMI 2.1/D-Sub, 4K@60HZ, Addressable Gen 2 RGB Header and Aura Sync)

Pros: I've used this board to build multiple systems and it's just plain solid. Easy to build on, no problems with setup. Has all the features a hard working computer needs, and even RGB. There are plenty of headers for what you need and it also provides a wide variety of ports to use any monitor.

Cons: Have found none.

Overall Review: Great motherboard

Western Digital WD Blue SN570 NVMe M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4, NVMe v1.4 TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) WDS100T3B0C

Pros: Price was good.

Cons: Did not work. Constant blue screen crashes while installing Windows and drivers, while idling, while using the computer for anything. Error code was Windows Hardware Error.

Overall Review: There was obviously something wrong with a batch of these. Ordered one with motherboard, cpu, memory, etc. to build a new system. Assembled the system, installed Windows. Installation seemed to take longer than normal while writing Windows files--seemed to have to keep doing things over, based on the DVD drive activity. Once it finally finished, system crashed repeatedly just installing drivers from motherboard support disk, always to the same blue screen error. After troubleshooting with Asus (motherboard manufacturer), tried different cpu, tested memory, and even replaced motherboard twice. Finally tried an old SSD I had lying around and it all worked fast and perfectly. Got a second one of this WD Blue SSD and it had the same blue screen crashes. Returned to Newegg and got a different brand SSD and it works perfectly.

Great Router

NETGEAR AC1750 Dual Band WiFi Gigabit Router R6300-NAS

Pros: Installation was the easiest of any Router I've ever had. It worked immediately and over several months' time we've had absolutely no problems. It is faster, everything works. The speed really is good and it has better range through the house (3 story) than other routers we've had.

Cons: Price is high, but that's what happens when you get new tech.
