Didn't Work
Pros: None
Cons: Purchased 12 GB for use in a Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R. It's on the compatibility list. The MB refused to recognize more than 6 GB. Switched to another brand and all 12 GB were recognized.
Dissapointed - Another Memory Problem
Pros: Should be a great product. It received excellent reviews from Toms Hardware, which influence my buying decision.
Cons: I have owned several Gigabyte products in the past - all have work perfectly. This motherboard is another story though. Configured with a 980X and 12GB of Crucial CT25664BA1339 - No overclocking. It fails to recognize more than 6GB of the 12GB available. Playing with different memory slot combinations can change it from 2 to 6 GB available, but nothing higher. Searched online during the troubleshooting process and found stories of bent CPU socket pins affecting memory available. Checked that - no bent pins in this case. RMA'ed MB to Newegg, the replacement exhibits the same symptoms.
