Pros: Great heatspreaders, these sticks look killer. I just received my 2nd gig about a week ago. I was so impressed with the 1st sticks that I only waited a week to get the 2nd pair. As usual with Corsair, you plug in and your ready to go. I've been using Corsair sticks for years for many different PC's. From their Value RAM to the XMS and have never had 1 bad stick or 1 problem period for that matter. You know you're getting quality when you buy Corsair and I'll never use any other brand due to their consistency with a great product.
Cons: The automatic timing readings will be 3-3-3-8. You do have to adjust it, but come on, it took me 2 minutes to get into my BIOS and set the sticks at 2.5-3-3-6. I even had it set at 2-3-3-6 as advertised and had absolutely zore problems and my memory past 18 hours of MemTest without any errors. The reason I reset it to 2.5-3-3-6 instead of 2-3-3-6 was because that's what I heard you were supposed to do using AMD cpu's.
Overall Review: Great quality memory at an awesome price. $120 for a gig of this? Superb bang for your buck. These sticks here aren't that much more expensive than Value RAM so do yourself a favor and buy these XMS series modules. Or if you're looking at more $$$ sticks don't bother, this stuff is excellent with a few minor adjustments. Don't let the 3-3-3-8 thing scare you off because with 2 minutes worth of tweaking you'll get the same if not better results than the competitors sticks by spending less $$$ All my games and applications run flawlessly and my boot times even increased quite signifigantly. Good stuff here!!!
Pros: I replaced an Antec TruePowerII 500 watt PSU with this one and wow whatta huge difference. I had to upgrade to something SLi certified in order to run both my 7600GS's. The design is awesome, and the installation in my Antec SOHO2 fulltower case was a cinch. The PSU that I replaced was modular so I wanted to stay with modular. This thing kills my Antec, the cabling is wonderful for keeping a cleanly wire routed PC.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Overall Review: My voltages have never been this stable out of any other PSU I've owned. Rock solid voltages and as I said before the modular cabling is the finest in it's class. I got this thing powering: AMD 3700+, Epox 9npa=SLi MB, 2G of Corsair XMS, 2x80 Gig Western Digital IDE Hard drives: Western Digital 120G SATA: 1x DVD rom: 1x CDRW: 2xGigabyte 7600GS Video Cards: Soundblaster Audigy SC: Thermaltake Venus Heatsink and Fan: 1x120mm case fan and 5x80mm case fans: everything is running 100% stable and it even cooled my whole system 5 degrees C. The huge 120 mm fan on the bottom of this PSU actually helped in cooling my system that much. Buy this thing now, I'll never use another brand PSU again. Hail Hiper!!!
Pros: Great cooling fans. I bought these because I wanted red fans but the 1st thing I noticed was when I turned my PC probe on and saw that my system temp. dropped a whole 8 degrees C...WOW. As far as the Red is concerned I'm very impressed with it's color. I wanted red and I got it. My black Antec 1050B server case with a glowing red front grill looks sick, very evil looking. That may sound stupid to some but it's exactly what I wanted. I don't have a side panel window but there is an 80mm fan mount with a grill on the side which also looks killer. I'm very pleased with the looks of my case now, I love the case but needed to give it just a little spice and POW...looks fantastic.
Cons: A little louder than my last set of fans. I replaced 3 80mm fans this time around with these fans and it is just a bit louder. I could care less though considering I have a Thermaltake Venus Heatsink and fan which is a beast as it is. My system is a bit loud all around but I have no problems with that as long as it's nice and cool and that it is.
Overall Review: If you want red, buy these. They're definitely red and not ORANGE. The fan itself is orange so maybe if you have a side panel on your case it might affect it a little, but in my case (which is an awesome case without a side panel) they look great and through my grills you can't see the fans when they're not lit up anyhow. I couldn't be anymore pleased now that my case is that of demonic nature.
More than impressed
Pros: The modular cabling is great, my case looks pretty good compared to my last case as far as wires and cables. I'm not the best at routing and wire design, but it's nice to have it looking sharp. Now to the BEST part of this PSU...I've read reviews about this thing not having enough power and that's simply not true unless you're running something rediculous in which you should know 500 Watts wouldn't be enough anyways.
Cons: Absolutely none.
Overall Review: This PSU came with my Antec 1050B server case when I bought it a few months back and powers everything great. My specs are.Epox9NPA+SLi mb, AMD 3700+ San Diego, 2GB (4x512) Corsair XMS, Thermaltake Venus Heatsink and fan, 2x Gigabyte7600GS in SLi, 3 80mm, 1x120mm and 1x92mm case fans, SoundblasterAudigy ZS Platinum, 2 WD 80 Gig HD's and 1 40 gig, 1 CD-RW, 1 DVDrom and a DVD burner. Wow, that's the first time I've really thought about how much this thing is powering...SWEET!!! When adding the second 7600GS I was thinking my fan RPM's as well as my voltages would drop and my temps would rise drastically thinking this PSU wasn't powerful enough...WRONG...all my voltages are exactly the same as are my fans RPM's. I know the 7600GS's are by far not the most powerful cards but they're great for a budget gaming system, and with 2 running SLi my benchmark score in 3DMARK 05 went to 8056 which is very respectable. Buy this PSU!for the money it is simply untouchable!
Pros: Very easy installation, no heatsink fan required.(My system is loud because of all my fans, but it's nice that this card doesn't require another fan) I upgraded from a 9800 pro and wowsers, this thing smokes it. I've always used ATI cards in the past but was building a new budget gaming system and WOW, the performane to cost ratio is unbelievable, very impressed with this NVIDIA card. I don't play many games but I do play AA@ 1280x1024 all on max settings and this thing never hiccups. It literally eats the game alive and looks fantastic. Very rich colors and smooth as a whistle. Best card in this price range by far and looks awesome in my case!!! I'm definitly a true Gigabyte customer from now on.
Cons: well the only con I can think of is that I didn't buy 2 :P. Not the cards fault but my own.2 of these in SLi...lol...I can't wait to see.
Overall Review: I'll be purchasing another one of thses little beasts very soon to run SLi and can only imagine the power 2 of these little monsters will handle. My system: Epox 9NPA+Sli Gigabyte 7600GS AMD3700+ San Diego 2x512 Corsair XMS Soundblaster platinum SC Antec TRUEPOWERII 500 watt PS Thermaltake Venus Heatsink I built this system on a budget and I'm telling you it's a monster for what I payed. Buy this card(and or system) if your on a budget, you'll be pleasantly surprised at its power and performance. It'll handle anything you throw at it and does a great job in doing so, I GUARANTEE it. All from New Egg and everything arrived in great time. I'll shop nowhere else, plain and simple.
Pros: Very easy installation. Clips right in, pretty effortless compared to stock heatsink and fan. Dropped my temps about 4-5 degrees although I can get about 8 or 9 degrees F if I crank it up. I guess I just expected a little more, my case is loaded with fans and has plenty of room for airflow so I was thinking this thing would drop my temps alot more than it did. I'm idling at 33 C on my 3700+ San Diego with the RPM's around 3600. I guess I'm happy with it overall.
Cons: It is very loud but the fan speed is adjustable. I can keep it as quiet as my stock heatsink and fan as long as I don't crank it up.
Overall Review: It's a cool heatsink/fan that's very easy to install. It has a cool 3.5 floppy mount for fan adjustments which I like alot.Overall a nice product. My stock stuff mounted a bit more tight than this did, but it mounts pretty firm. You can probably get the same results with something a little cheaper if you ask me.
