Pros: Great Product. Used it a least a 100 times backing up other people's entire harddrives. Haven't had a problem with it yet.
Cons: I get a little worried about the dust it gathers, specially inside the bay.
Horrible Reliability.
Pros: -Cheap -Lots of Space
Cons: -RMA'd the first one, some sectors went bad causing data corruption within the first few hours of use. -Second one did the same thing within 12 hours.
Overall Review: Newegg's RMA system has been broken for a while as it does not generate return shipping labels automatically. I don't feel like waiting for customer support for an hour. So I will eat the loss. Lesson learned. Don't order flash memory online. The quality is (Newegg censored the third grade insult I was going to use that starts with C, so how about this...) extremely Chinese these days. As for my use case. I have a home FreeBSD file server running off a flash drive. Works great for many years with my 4gb Verbatim drive. However, I needed more space to upgrade. So I dd the data to this teamgroup USB, growfs, boot it, and it runs great. For a couple hours until it breaks... I have ran fsck in attempts to fix the drives, and chkflsh to verify busted sectors.
Pros: -Cheap. -Uses File Tree system. (All my music is in file trees with little or no id3 tags) -Simple Interface that is easy to use while driving
Cons: -Eats batteries -USB cap came lose, fixed by thicking the usb port with tape -Scrolling song title lags high bitrate mp3s, can't disable scrolling titles
Overall Review: Wish they'd make more mp3 players like this, but with rechargeable batteries and higher capacities.
Pros: Great for making presentation, I can walk around the classroom.
Cons: It's a pain in the wrist to use. Rebate company didn't rebate me.
Overall Review: I think the unit should be a little bigger. My gorilla hands have a hard time flicking it around.
Pros: Makes a pot of coffee with no fuss. Still working after 3 years.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: My father wanted a programmable coffeemaker for xmas. He got one. Programmed it once, and never has had to touch it again.
Pros: Still working great and fast.
Cons: None
Overall Review: I've had this unit for 4 years and am still using it in my daily computer which is my programming machine. It handles the data (HUGE PROJECT) with breeze.
