AUZEN Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card
AUZEN Auzen X-Fi Prelude 7.1 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card

Pros: Has Good Sound. No issues with the sound so far.Sound is clean and as goos if not better than the older Audigy 2 ZS I had

Cons: Would not install from box !!! Forced me to make a tech support call on a regular non-800 phone line.Tech support sent me a link to download drivers since they have none on their own website.Ended up wasting around 40 minutes to install this and it is only a sound card !!!

Overall Review: Not sure of the benefits of this card verses creative. Now I own it so I might as well enjoy it. Worst website support I have seen. Not putting drivers that work on your website......great idea guys

Could be better

SUPERMICRO MBD-X8SAX-O LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Xeon Server Motherboard
SUPERMICRO MBD-X8SAX-O LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Xeon Server Motherboard

Pros: Running at 1333mhz is very stable. No crashes and Windows XP Pro w/ my Apps setup easy and fast. I also bought an 965EE CPU and have no issues running games while encoding video while doing other things.Encodes video at really fast rates. Internet runs fast on my cable modem and all USB devices have worked

Cons: I am not to happy at the fact that I cannot run 1600mhz memory in this./the manual clearly states on 2 pages that you can do this with an Extreme CPU with XMP Profiles.Well I wasted $250 trying that idea out.I was the one who asked questions about Corsair 1600mhz memory.I am running Aenonon 1600mhz (suggested by supermicro on THEIR site) and it will not post w/ XMP no matter what I tried.Their t tech support was no help for me.Their new BIOS has not fixed this. Now I do not even have an option to try XMP.I just installed the new BIOS asn hour ago.

Overall Review: I should of waitied and bought an ASUS board. Then I could of used even faster memory.I could of bought some high-end exteremely fast memory and it would run in that ASUS.This board is finicky with RAM bought on the other hand as stated above it is stable at 1333mhz so at least I have a decent working machine.

Cons: none yet.

Overall Review: Asus boards are usually fast and run stable for me.I have used them or Supermicro for years now.

HyperX 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KHX6400D2LLK2/2G
HyperX 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KHX6400D2LLK2/2G

Pros: Running RAM at 800 mhz with 4-4-4-12 timing and 2.0v.No problems at all.Machine runs great.Really fast and not crashing on me.

Cons: BIOS sees RAM at slower speed so you must remember to go into BIOS and set RAM up manually

Overall Review: Kingston makes decent RAM.I would buy their RAM again.
